The authors exposed gecko (Eublepharis macularius) embryos to patterned visual stimulation beginning at either 1 week or 2 weeks prior to hatching. Embryos exposed to the substantially augmented amount of prenatal visual stimulation hatched significantly earlier than the embryos either exposed to the moderately augmented prenatal visual stimulation or not exposed to any prenatal visual stimulation (p < .01). Hatchling mass was not affected. Embryos exposed to substantially augmented visual stimulation demonstrated a postnatal preference for patterned light in a simultaneous choice test at 24 hr of age (p < .01). Control embryos demonstrated a preference for normal light conditions (p < .01), whereas experimental embryos exposed to lesser amounts of prenatal visual stimulation did not show a preference for either stimulus. Try materials were used to train 9 retarded children to attend to differences in colors and shapes of objects, and Frostig worksheets were used to train the children to attend to left-to-right directionality. Evidence suggests Ss' ability to attend to these characteristics was generalized to a complex bead-stringing task on which significant gains in performance were found immediately after 15 days of practice with training materials and after a 6-mo. interval of no further training or practice. 相似文献

The purpose of this article is to explore the relationship between sexual misconduct and religious vocation. Drawing on clinical and ministerial experience the article suggests that most sexual misconduct among religious officials is a combination of sexual addiction and religious behaviour acting as interconnected responses to narcissistic damage. It goes on to outline a reciprocal inter-locking cyclical pattern of behaviour and suggests a treatment strategy that prioritizes four tasks: psycho-education, group work, family of origin exploration, and facilitating access to the components of a good quality of life. 相似文献
