An evaluation of the effectiveness and acceptability of a new technology system to support psychotherapy helping skills training

Training counselling and psychotherapy skills using new technology is a relatively unresearched area of study. The findings from a pilot evaluation of the effectiveness and acceptability of a new technology, mPath, using a mixed method design are reported. The study found that progressive integration of the new mPath technology into learning helping skills had the best results on developing competency, as assessed by the Person‐Centred Experiential Psychotherapy Scale Training Version. Qualitative interviews showed the technology was acceptable to users. Further research is needed in this emerging field of deliberate practice.     

The Rhetoric Of Context

This paper presents a critical appraisal of the recent turn in comparative religious ethics to virtue theory; it argues that the specific aspirations of virtue ethicists to make ethics more contextual, interdisciplinary, and practice‐centered has in large measure failed to match the rhetoric. I suggest that the focus on the category of the human and practices associated with self‐formation along with a methodology grounded in “analogical imagination” has actually poeticized the subject matter into highly abstract textual studies on normative voices within traditions, largely in isolation from considerations of socio‐historical context, political and institutional pressures, and the lived ethics of non‐elite moral actors. I conclude with some programmatic suggestions for how the field of comparative religious ethics can move forward.     

醋柳黄酮的实验研究及临床应用进展

醋柳黄酮为沙棘果实与叶的有效提取成分，其中已被鉴定的黄酮类化合物有槲皮素及其苷类、异鼠李素及其苷类、山奈酚及其苷类、杨梅酮、绿原酸、猪草苷、儿茶酚和黄芩苷等。醋柳黄酮作为中药有效成分，具有多种药理作用。近十几年国内对沙棘进行了广泛深入的研究，并取得了一定的进展。本文对其实验研究及临床应用的概况作一综述。     

术后镇痛的实践思维

从外科医师和麻醉科医师传统临床思维方法特点分析,认为传统术后镇痛具有明显的片面性、专一性等临床诊疗的局限性。而从实践思维和循证医学理论角度分析,认为术后镇痛在围手术期“人性化”诊疗、防治全身炎症反应综合征或围手术期癌转移等方面具有的重要性与广阔前景。     

老年病诊疗中的几个问题

老年医学是哲学思维和理论含量很高的科学,老年病科医生要学会科学应用哲学的思维方法,克服临床思维过程中的缺点,将哲学思维应用于实际临床实践中,既要科学地分析,又要哲学地概括,在实际工作中做到主观与客观、理论与实践的具体统一,避免误诊、误治,提高老年病人的生活质量。     

人类辅助生殖技术中的伦理监督与实践

我国人类辅助生殖技术的开展以及相关法律规范的实施为该技术的运用带来伦理管理的新课题。分别阐述辅助生殖技术中伦理监督的重要意义、重点与难点,对我院具体管理工作与实践探索作了介绍,并对该技术伦理监督管理中的几个问题进行了讨论。     

Taxonomy of Spiritual Experiences

Spiritual experiences are often associated with health crises, with little information about the structure of the experience. A taxonomic analysis was conducted on data from a group of healers, unveiling a structural model of spiritual experience comprised of three domains: circumstances, manifestation and interpretation. Circumstances included the aspects of setting, situation, and timing. Manifestation incorporated the modes of awareness and the phenomena of the experience. Components of interpretation included personal meaning and congruence with social norms. The examples reflected the orientation of the study population. Further research could examine the applicability of the taxonomy to other religious or spiritual orientations and may assist in clinical assessment of spiritual experiences.Diane Wind Wardell, Ph.D., R.N.C., H.N.C., C.H.T.P./I., and Joan C.
