A Walk in the Invisible City

This essay discusses the performative interventions of the contemporary Belgian artist Francis Alÿs in Mexico City and how they create a critical focus on urban reality in the Latin American mega-cities, and outline ways of intervention and interaction in the modern disassociation of the city’s economical, social, and cultural levels, taking up the challenge to suggest their unity through imagination and art.     

汉-俄双语者阅读俄语文本的空格效应研究

采用EyeLink Ⅱ眼动仪,以汉-俄双语者(15名)和母语为俄语者(15名)为被试,要求他们阅读有空格、删除空格、去空格隔词加粗三种类型词切分方式的俄语句子,探讨不同词切分方式对两组被试俄语文本阅读的影响。结果表明:和有空格条件相比,去空格隔词加粗条件下的平均注视时间和阅读时间更长,注视次数更多,阅读速度更慢;而删除空格条件下的阅读成绩最低。在各呈现条件下,母语为俄语者的成绩都显著好于汉-俄双语者;删除空格后,汉-俄双语者比母语为俄语者的阅读时间更长,注视次数更多,阅读速度更慢。对于像俄语这种有词间空格的语言来说,删除词间空格不仅对母语读者的阅读产生干扰,对于第二语言读者的阅读产生的干扰会更大。汉-俄双语者的俄语水平和俄语文本的呈现方式影响他们的阅读。     

基于多层面模型的教学效能感量表

运用层面理论方法,在参照已有研究的基础上,对10名中学教师进行了开放式访谈,结合已有研究和访谈结果,设计了映射语句,根据层面元素组合,设计项目,编制了教学效能感量表。对200名中学教师进行初测收回有效问卷162份,运用SSA分析技术,对项目质量做了分析,对部分项目进行了删减,并修改了映射语句,再对530名中学教师进行正式施测,收回有效问卷505份,运用SSA和验证性因素分析技术对量表的构想效度进行了检验,发现量表的信、效度较高,量表符合心理测量学的要求,并证明教学效能感结构为二层面雷达图结构。     

视觉注意选择性的空间位置效应的研究

采用注意线索技术探讨颜色、角度和空间位置对视觉选择性注意的影响。研究结果表明 :( 1 )目标与干扰刺激颜色相同时 ,表现出明显的注意空间位置效应 ;( 2 )目标与干扰刺激颜色不同时 ,空间位置效应明显弱化 ;( 3 )整体而言 ,注意加工速度从左到右均表现出明显的“V”字形效应。     

规则空间模型在描述统计学习模式识别中的应用研究

规则空间模型是一种将认知心理学和心理计量学相结合的认知诊断模型,它可用于判别被试的属性掌握模式和识别被试解题的认知错误。本文应用规则空间模型判别学生的属性掌握模式(即知识结构)。根据299名被试在测验项目上的作答反应将他们划归为30种不同的属性掌握模式。     

Evidence for covert attention switching from eye-movements. Reply to commentaries on Liechty et al., 2003

We argue that our research objectives in Liechty, Pieters, and Wedel (2003) are to provide generalizable insights into covert visual attention to complex, multimodal stimuli in their natural context, through inverse inference from eye-movement data. We discuss the most important issues raised by Feng (2003) and Reichle and Nelson (2003), in particular the task definition, inclusion of ad features, object-based versus space-based attention and the evidence for the where and what streams.Author names are in reverse alphabetical order.     

空间选择性注意在上下视野间的转移

本实验研究空间选择性注意在上下视野间的转移及其是否受知觉空间的影响。实验采用Posner的位置线索化实验范式和两种深度线索背景,测量分辨任务的反应时(RTs)。实验发现:线索有效时的反应时比线索无效时的反应时短,而且线索对上视野刺激的反应时的影响较大。知觉空间中的深度线索对于注意在上下视野中转移没有显著影响。这些结果表明,空间选择性注意在上下视野转移存在不对称性,并且主要由物理空间决定。     

CLINICAL WINNICOTT: TRAVELING A REVOLUTIONARY ROAD

The author contends that, contrary to the usual perception that Winnicott followed a linear progression “through pediatrics to psychoanalysis,” Winnicott's vision was always a psychoanalytic one, even during his early pediatric work. His place in the development of psychoanalytic theory is highlighted, and the author discusses such key Winnicottian concepts as transitional space, the false self, and the use of the object. Winnicott's unique approach to the form and value of analytic interpretation is particularly emphasized, and his thoughts on the treatment of depression are also addressed, as well as his distinction between regression and withdrawal. Included is a summary of convergences and divergences between Winnicott's thinking and that of Bion.     

Should Humans Colonize Other Planets? No

In certain segments of the space community, the idea of colonizing other planetary bodies has been popular for decades. Disproportionate attention to this idea in the mass media, and lip service from key U.S. government officials, may convey the impression that the goal of space colonization¹1. Though some advocates now eschew the term “colonization” in favor of “settlement” when advocating for human expansion to other planetary bodies, the author makes no distinction between the two terms in this particular case and will use the term colonization.View all notes and exploitation is universally embraced. This author will argue that this is not the case, and, further, should not be. Given the current state of humankind’s overall ethical and moral development, humans should clean up the mess they have made on their home planet and learn how to take care of one another here before they go off into space.
