Earlier research has suggested cognitive processes to be important in the formation of social attitudes among young people. A question thus raised concerns the nature of these processes. Certain features of sociopolitical sophistication (schema-wise information processing) can be isolated which have an impact on the way sociopolitical attitudes are expressed. The main purpose of this study was to operationalize these features in sociopolitical sophistication, and study their relations to attitude consistency and stability among young people. The sample consisted of 542 children and adolescents from metropolitan Stockholm. Results from factor analyses revealed (a) two factors in sociopolitical cognition, differentiation and integration, and (b) two factors in sociopolitical attitudes, consistency and stability. Correlation analyses displayed only a few relations, i.e. attitude consistency within the most narrow domains (self-defined categories) seemed to decrease with increasing integration. In light of these results it is concluded that these young subjects certainly have cognitive structures for sociopolitical issues, although these structures are not necessarily hierarchically organized. 相似文献

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a worldwide increase in the use of face masks to prevent viral transmission. However, as mask-wearing was a new behavior in many countries, there was a limited understanding of how mask-wearers are perceived and how such perceptions impact one's own mask-wearing behavior. Mask-wearers may be seen as contagious or prosocial, and these perceptions may vary based on the race of the mask-wearer and the country of the observer, particularly given the rise in pandemic-related anti-Asian rhetoric in the U.S. In three experiments (N = 579), we investigated these questions, conducting two studies in the United States (May and July 2020), where mask-wearing was new and anti-Asian rhetoric has been prevalent, and one study in South Korea (November 2020), where mask-wearing was relatively common. Results indicate that masked individuals are perceived as less contagious and more prosocial, regardless of target race or participant nation. These perceptions were more pronounced among American political liberals, Americans who are more sensitive to infection transmission (Study 2), and Koreans who self-perceived a greater vulnerability to infection (Study 3). Especially in the U.S., perceiving the masked target as more prosocial predicted more self-reported mask-wearing, while perceiving the masked target as more contagious and less prosocial predicted less mask-wearing (Study 2). 为了探讨品牌印象的双重结构及其形成与改变的心理机制, 在双重加工模型理论基础上, 采用2×2×3完全随机被试间实验设计, 先后进行两个实验研究。结果显示:外显品牌印象的形成与改变遵循规则加工, 内隐品牌印象的形成与改变遵循联想加工, 说明二者是相互独立的两个心理结构, 为双重加工的双重系统观点提供了新证据。Smith和DeCoster (2000)的双重加工模型未考虑被试对信息的卷入程度对联想加工和规则加工的影响, 使其理论解释力不够, 此研究结果正好在这方面取得了进展。 相似文献

Resident‐intruder (R‐I) tests can be used to measure the aggressive temperament of domestic pigs (Sus scrofa), and have previously been shown to predict the severity and persistence of aggression when unfamiliar pigs are mixed. To study the consistency of individual differences in aggressiveness over time, 112 pigs (eight from each of fourteen litters) were given two R‐I tests at each of three ages (46, 80, and 113 days). Pigs were R‐I tested singly in an arena within the home pen, where a smaller unfamiliar intruder pig was introduced to a resident pig. Latency to the first attack by the resident was recorded, and the test was stopped as soon as an attack occurred, otherwise the test lasted five minutes. Pigs from eight of the litters used here had been allowed to mix with another litter prior to weaning (days 10–30; socialised), while pigs in six litters remained in littermate groups (control). To determine whether consistency would survive the effects of social disruption, pigs were mixed into new groups on two occasions between the first and second test, then remained in these groups until the third test. Evidence of consistency was found, despite the social disruption. Socialised pigs were more aggressive than controls, females were more aggressive than males, and certain litters were more aggressive than others. After adjusting for these, consistent differences between individuals were still evident. Consistency was higher between the second and third tests compared to the first and second, possibly because of stable group membership or the effects of age or experience. In support of the idea that social experience improves consistency, socialised pigs were more consistent than controls throughout. Evidence of consistent individual differences in aggressive temperament suggests that breeding or changes to early life experiences could have a long‐lasting influence on aggressive behaviour in pigs. 本研究采用自行编制计算机化的加工分离程序(PDP).旨在探讨聋童和正常儿童是否在内隐和外显记忆上存在不同的发展模式。结果显示:(1)人群和年龄对内隐记忆没有显著影响,而外显记忆存在显著的人群差异和年龄差异;(2)外显记忆的人群和年龄存在显著的交互作用,聋童随年龄增长,其外显记忆存在显著的发展,而正常儿童的外显记忆有略微的下降。本研究结果支持意识和无意识的权衡理论.并为聋童教育提供了一些启示。 相似文献
