The social unconscious in clinical work

An analyst who is unaware of the constraints of social facts and forces will be insensitive to their unconscious recreation within therapeutic situations, and unable to provide space for patients to imagine how their identities have been formed at particular social and political junctures. The concepts of the social unconscious and of equivalence are defined and located within the traditions of Group Analysis and British Object Relations Theory. A model of maturity is outlined, the central element of which is the willingness and ability to take the role of citizen. These ideas are illustrated with clinical vignettes from psychoanalysis and group analysis.     

Cultural Differences in Physical Contact Between Hispanic and Anglo Mother–Infant Dyads Living in the United States

This is a study of differences in physical contact and tactile interpersonal behaviours between Hispanic and Anglo mothers and infants living in the United States. Infants were 9 months old and 52 mother–infant dyads, 26 Hispanic and 26 Anglo, were videotaped during free play without toys in a university laboratory playroom. Coders judged the interpersonal distance, physical contact and affectionate touch from the videotapes and mothers responded to a questionnaire about the importance of physical contact and affectionate touch in their relationship with their infant. From questionnaire data we found that Hispanic and Anglo mothers both touch their infants on a daily basis, although Hispanic mothers report touching more frequently, being more affectionate with their infants and having more skin-to-skin contact. From videotaped observations we found that there were no overall differences in mother–infant touch between the two cultures; however, the Hispanic mothers showed more close touch and more close and affectionate touch compared to Anglo mothers, who showed more distal touch. The results are discussed in terms of the role of touch in infant development and cultural differences in the evaluation of close physical contact and touch.

抑郁症作为一类精神疾患其隐喻由来已久,精神病学与心理学对该病认识的不断深入,相互运作并将抑郁症置于异化之中,社会文化等诸因素强化了病患扭曲的认同感。从社会、文化功能的角度探讨隐喻对抑郁症病患心理的消极影响,旨在丰富我国抑郁症研究的医学社会学内容。     

叙事心理治疗的特征及其与中国文化的契合

基于后现代文化理念的叙事心理治疗,其主要特征与中国文化的契合体现在:问题外化的治疗手段顺应中国人的面子心理和辩证的思维方式;关系取向的治疗立场更适合具有关系自我观的中国人;关注差异的治疗模式与中医的个体化治疗模式不谋而合;重视来访者的内在力量可充分发挥中国人善于自律和反思的特长。     

The essence, characteristics and limitation of post-colonialism: from Karl Marx’s point of view

Following postmodernism, post-colonialism reflects modernity from a new perspective—the cultural perspective. Post-colonialism interprets colonialism contained in modernity, deconstructs orientalism and cultural hegemonism, and turns western reflection of modernity into an inquiry about the global relationship between the East and the West. Post-colonialism brings forward a new theoretical domain, that is, the colonizational relationship between the East and the West in the process of modernization. This interpretation expresses a strong tendency of anti-western centrality and shares some ideas with marxism. 中国大学生特质自尊的结构维度探索

国外研究对Tafarodi和Swann(1995)基于特质自尊二维模型编制的"自我喜爱感/自我能力感量表"(SLCS)的结构维度尚存疑义。本研究以中国文化背景中的两组大学生为被试,分别采用探索性因素分析和验证性因素分析方法,考察了该量表的内部结构。结果发现:(1)删除原量表4个项目后由16个项目构成的"自我喜爱感/自我能力感量表"由自我能力感和自我喜爱感两个维度构成,且相对于自我喜爱感、自我能力感对中国大学生特质自尊结构具有更强的解释力;(2)中国大学生群体应用该量表具有较理想的项目区分度、内部一致性信度、构想效度和区分效度;(3)男女大学生的自尊体验在总体上无显著差异,但文科类男生的自我能力感显著高于女生,而工科类女生的自我能力感显著高于男生。
