This study explored the relationship between personal factors and job retention in a South African financial services sector setting. A non-probability purposive sample of employees (n = 383; females = 57%, black = 42%) of two financial institutions were participants (age range = 25 to 65; middle management = 34%). The employees reported on their self-esteem, employability attributes, and job retention factors. The data were analysed to predict job retention factors from the personal factors of self-esteem and employability. The results indicate overall self-esteem, employability attributes, and age to significantly and positively predict job retention factors of employees within the financial services industry. The self-esteem psychological aspects of general self-esteem, social self-esteem, and personal self-esteem, uniquely predicted job retention factors. Additionally, the employability attributes of career self-management, cultural competence, self-efficacy career resilience, sociability, entrepreneurial orientation, proactivity, and emotional literacy uniquely predicted job retention factors. 相似文献

This study aimed to determine the extent to which employees’ career adaptability and employability capacities predicted employee retention factors in the information sector industry. A probability sample of 337 South African recruitment advertising employees participated in the study (females = 65.9%; black Africans = 53.4%, predominantly early career stage (aged > 40 years = 57.9%). The employees responded to surveys on their career adaptability, employability capacities, and job retention considerations. Step-wise hierarchical regression analysis was computed to predict employee retention factors from their career meta-capacities of career adaptability and employability attributes. Results suggest the career meta-capacities to explain 71% of the variance in employee retention factors. Moreover, overall career adaptability (concern, control, curiosity, and cooperation) predict the overall retentions factors of employees. White employees self-reported with higher work retention and career opportunities than employees of other races/ethnicities. Career adaptability and employability capabilities matter for talented employee retention in the information sector industry. 相似文献

采用提取练习范式与逐试次刷新任务相结合的双任务对96名大学生进行测试,通过考察认知负荷和项目竞争强度对提取诱发遗忘(RIF)的影响,以澄清RIF的产生机制。结果发现:相对于高、低认知负荷组大学生而言,控制组大学生在高项目竞争强度下诱发出显著的RIF,在低项目竞争强度下则未诱发出显著的RIF。结果表明:控制组大学生在汉语类别-样例词对中产生的RIF是由需要认知资源的控制性抑制加工产生的,这种RIF比拼音类别-样例词对中的RIF需要更多的认知资源,且未受相关代价与效益问题影响。 相似文献

Choice behaviour in an interactive multiple-criteria decision-making environment was examined experimentally. The main purpose was to investigate whether subjects are more comfortable in processing criterion/attribute information simultaneously (in parallel) or sequentially. As a research instrument, three different interactive software systems were used on a microcomputer by management students at the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration and the Institute of National Economy in Moscow to solve essentially the same problem of buying/leasing a home tailored to the respective decision environments. The experiments also provided us with a possibility to learn useful lessons about how human subjects make computer-supported choices. The results of the experiments are discussed. There is no consensus and very little overlap in the criticisms of my target article. Because the primary consequences of avoidance behavior are by definition alterations in the distribution of shocks in time, any theory about the reinforcement of such behavior necessarily must begin with that dimension. However, the safety‐signal version of two‐process theory calls on positively and negatively correlated stimuli, including the responses themselves serving as stimuli, to transmit the effects of those alterations to the relevant behavior. Meanwhile, the Herrnstein—Hineline single‐process theory hypothesizes an additional source of reinforcement: a direct effect of reduction in the density of shock over some extended period of time. Agency, communion, unmitigated agency (UA), and unmitigated communion (UC) are related to psychosocial health outcomes in nonclinical and medical populations. This study examined the relationship between these personality traits and emotional and interpersonal well-being, as up to 50% of women experience difficulties in psychosocial adjustment after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Seventy-four women newly diagnosed with breast cancer completed baseline assessment measures within 2 weeks prior to their first chemotherapy treatment or at the beginning of their hormonal therapy. Findings indicate that (1) agency and UA are important correlates of emotional and interpersonal adjustment and should be considered when attempting to identify women at high risk for psychosocial distress, and (2) UC deserves increased attention in behavioral medicine research, given its strong relationship with emotional distress in a breast cancer population. Thus, evidence continues to accumulate regarding the important relationship of these personality traits to psychosocial outcomes in medical populations. 相似文献

反应时技术在以往品牌研究中主要被用来测查品牌名称与产品类别的联系强度。基于品牌名称语义网络的构成,在已有研究的启发下,将反应时测量技术应用于品牌联想结构的测查之中。研究采用了反应时方法和传统的自由联想方法对三个产品种类五个品牌的品牌联想结构进行了探索。两种结果的对比分析验证了反应时方法的可行性,并且在测量的精确性与客观性上,反应时方法具有较大的优势。该测量技术提供的客观量化数据有助于揭示消费者内在的品牌联想结构,在市场研究中具有广泛的应用前景。 相似文献
