Reflection features strongly in health and care work as a tool for personal and professional development and can support us as practitioners to be critical and self-aware in practice, of practice and the impact on clients and patients. Its power to transform learning and practice, however, has been watered down through recipe-following in reflective recording and through the avoidance of recording uncertainty or practice that might not measure against professional codes. Drawing on the humanist philosophy of John Ralston Saul, I suggest using Saul’s ‘six qualities’ as themes for reflective questions. I reflect on the influence of reason through codes of practice and offer suggestions for questions to restore an awareness of Self in work with clients and patients. Finally, from my experience as a counselling student and healthcare educator, I argue that we should have a greater appreciation of the power of uncertainty in reflective recording.  相似文献

Much research has examined how stress restricts objective Situation Awareness (SA). Little research, however, has focused on SA overconfidence, the notion that an individual may grasp a situation when in fact they do not. Even less SA research has examined the motivational and emotional states of individuals operating in teams in stressful environments. Expanding on recent data suggesting that stress creates SA overconfidence, not simply SA loss, the present experiment manipulated stress levels and the perception of team engagement, which is thought to be a positive motivational state of task-related well-being. Teams of Soldiers were tested in a virtual combat scenario testing shared risk-taking, objective (i.e., collaborative ability to answer SA probes), and subjective SA. Results indicated that the mere perception of above average team engagement reduced stress induced SA overconfidence and risk-taking of teams. These results suggest simple, virtually costless strategies for improving elements of SA that may impact the behavior of teams and potentially improve their decision-making.  相似文献

Jonathan Z. Smith famously pointed out that the concept of ‘religion’ is not universal but emerged only in the modern West. Several scholars have drawn from Smith the non-realist implication that the existence of religion apart from that concept is an illusion. The word ‘religion,’ they say, does not refer to something out there in the world. In this article, the author argues that Smith’s point is open to a realist interpretation according to which religion exists in the world, as a transhistorical and transcultural reality, even apart from the concept. To make this case, the author outlines and responds to non-realist positions that draw on genealogical, deconstructive, and linguistic arguments, as well as to the alternative proposal that ‘religion’ is simply a heuristic device. In short, the goal of this article is to argue that a realist social ontology provides the better understanding of the central theoretical term in our field.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Die über 50-jährige Entwicklung der stationären psychodynamischen Psychotherapie ist ein Prozess von der Anwendung ambulanter psychoanalytischer Verfahren auf der Station zu einem eigenständigen multiprofessionellen, multimethodalen Therapieverfahren. Die Rahmenbedingungen der Organisation Krankenhaus und das jeweilige psychoanalytische Verständnis des Leiters der Abteilung zur Nutzung des multipersonellen Therapiefelds prägte die psychodynamischen Konzeptionen. Die Entwicklung führte zu einer Formulierung einer Komplexbehandlung für stationäre Psychotherapie im Prozedurenkatalog der DRGs. Ein Herzstück der integrativen stationären psychodynamischen Therapie ist das multiprofessionelle Team. An 2 Beispielen von therapeutischen Funktionen des multiprofessionellen Teams wird die gemeinsame Aufgabenstellung des Teams dargestellt. Darüber hinaus werden Regeln aus gruppenanalytischer Sicht für die Leitung eines solchen multiprofessionellen Teams vorgeschlagen.  相似文献

已有的团队领导研究着重于领导行为对团队绩效的影响,而缺乏其作用机制和路径的研究。本文选取信任与团队心理安全两个变量,以142个团队为样本,对团队领导行为是否以及如何通过信任影响团队心理安全进行实证研究。研究结果表明:(1)转换型领导行为与团队心理安全之间存在正相关关系,显著地影响团队心理安全感;(2)信任是形成团队心理安全感的重要因素之一;(3)信任在团队领导行为、团队心理安全感之间的中介效应显著。  相似文献

Background and objective

Field invasion games, such as rugby union, can be conceptualised as dynamic social systems in which the agents continuously interact to contest ball possession and territorial gain. Accordingly, this study aimed to identify the collective system dynamics of rugby union phases-of-play near the try line by investigating whether ball displacement trajectory on the playing field provides insights on successful team performance.

Methods

Five rugby union matches were videotaped involving teams at a national league performance level. From these matches, 22 second phases-of-play were selected and digitized for analysis. The variable “distance gained” was investigated as a potential coordination variable describing functional coordination between players and teams. This variable concerned the distance between ball initial position and ball current position over time and was used to define the degree of territory gained by an attacking team.

Results

Analysis of distance gained dynamics in attacking sub-phases demonstrated the intermittent character of rugby union performers displacement trajectories on the playing field. Amplitude of ball movements was revealed as a distinguishing feature related to attacking effectiveness. Successful attacking phases displayed lower distances of positional retreat, with the maximum retreat distance achieved sooner in successful compared to unsuccessful phases-of-play. Autocorrelation and ApEn analyses suggested low system variability within time series data concerning both performance outcomes. However, evidence of less regularity and more complexity was found in unsuccessful phases-of-play.

Conclusion

Results suggested that distance gained dynamics manifests a characteristic collective behaviour pattern that captures the macroscopic functional order of multi-player attack–defence systems in team sports like rugby union.  相似文献

This article discusses a method of using elements of Jaakko Seikkula's ‘polyphonic dialogue’ approach in the context of trainee evaluation at a four‐year course in systemic family therapy. This research examines the effects of group faultline activation on coalition formation, conflict, and group outcomes. We distinguish between dormant faultlines (potential faultlines based on demographic characteristics) and activated group faultlines (members actually perceive subgroups based on the demographic characteristics) and hypothesize that while dormant faultlines do not automatically turn into active group divisions, a group’s entitlement configuration can activate divisions among group members. Study 1 was a construct validity study to verify the psychometric properties of the activated group faultline measure and explain its connection to other process variables. In Studies 2 and 3, we tested our hypotheses and found that groups with activated faultlines were more likely to form coalitions, have high levels of group conflict, and lower levels of satisfaction and group performance than dormant faultline groups. Furthermore, team identification moderated the effects of activated faultlines on group processes such that a strong workgroup identity decreased the likelihood that activated faultlines led to coalition formation and conflict.  相似文献

Past research has focused on the differential relationships of organizational and work group identification with attitudes and behavior. However, no systematic effort has been undertaken yet to explore interactive effects between these foci of identification. We predicted that in cases of positive overlap of identifications (i.e. high work group and organizational identification) identifications are more strongly associated with employee job satisfaction and extra-role behavior than when only one of the identifications is high—that is, the one identification augments the influence of the other. These hypotheses were tested and supported with data from two samples of bank employees (N = 358) and travel agency employees (N = 308).  相似文献
