Using data from the International Social Survey Programme, this research investigated asymmetric attitudes of ethnic minorities and majorities towards their country and explored the impact of human development, ethnic diversity, and social inequality as country‐level moderators of national attitudes. In line with the general hypothesis of ethnic asymmetry, we found that ethnic, linguistic, and religious majorities were more identified with the nation and more strongly endorsed nationalist ideology than minorities (H1, 33 countries). Multilevel analyses revealed that this pattern of asymmetry was moderated by country‐level characteristics: the difference between minorities and majorities was greatest in ethnically diverse countries and in egalitarian, low inequality contexts. We also observed a larger positive correlation between ethnic subgroup identification and both national identification and nationalism for majorities than for minorities (H2, 20 countries). A stronger overall relationship between ethnic and national identification was observed in countries with a low level of human development. The greatest minority‐majority differences in the relationship between ethnic identification and national attitudes were found in egalitarian countries with a strong welfare state tradition. 相似文献

为探索幼儿教师职业压力、心理资本和职业认同对职业幸福感的影响机制,随机选取川渝两地幼儿教师328名,用幼儿教师工作压力源问卷(KTOSQ)、幼儿教师职业认同问卷(KTPIQ)、教师心理资本问卷(TPCQ)和幼儿教师职业幸福感量表(KTOWBS)进行调查.结果表明:(1)幼儿教师职业压力是风险性因素,降低其职业幸福感.心理资本是保护性因素,提高其职业幸福感,且心理资本的保护作用主要表现为直接效应;(2)幼儿教师职业认同在职业压力和心理资本对职业幸福感的影响中起完全中介作用.以上研究结果对保护和提高幼儿教师职业幸福感具有重要理论价值和实践意义. 相似文献

Abstract: Over the past 10 years a European standard for psychology education and training (EuroPsy) in Europe has been developed through two European Union (EU)‐funded projects. This development has been supported by political initiatives within Europe, in particular the so‐called Bologna process and the new EU Directive on qualifications, which is intended to facilitate professional mobility. The EuroPsy standard applies to professional psychologists at the initial qualification level, namely, independent practice. It requires 6 years of education and training, which include 1 year of supervised practice. The article describes these developments and some critical issues. 相似文献

The purpose of the current study was to examine the effects of a multicomponent intervention that included discrimination training, real-time visual feedback, and self-monitoring on postural behavior at a computer workstation in a simulated office environment. Using a nonconcurrent multiple baseline design across 8 participants, the study assessed the effects of the intervention across three postural variables. Following an information phase, the intervention started for the lowest stable postural variable. The intervention led to substantial improvements in safety behavior for most targeted postural variables. A reversal to the information phase for 2 participants did not lead to decreases in safety. Postures self-monitored with high accuracy improved to a greater degree than postures self-monitored with low accuracy. 相似文献

J. Robert Oppenheimer was among the most important and enigmatic figures in 20th century science. He is best known for successfully
directing the Manhattan Project that produced the first atomic bombs that were dropped on Japan at the end of World War II.
Subsequently, he became a scientist and statesman who advised the United States government in the areas of atomic weapons
development and public policy. He later became subject to an investigation in 1954 into his previous political affiliations
and his personal behavior that ended in the revoking of his security clearance. This essay seeks to chronicle Oppenheimer’s
coming of age as a public intellectual with a view toward his own psychological history and most especially in relationship
to the stages of faith development articulated by James Fowler and colleagues. Moreover, though not conventionally religious,
Oppenheimer’s life and thought were permeated with themes and ideas of a religious and ethical nature that shaped his adult
character and informed his view of the world. This essay was originally presented at The Richardson History of Psychiatry

A number of recent studies have questioned the conventional view regarding the existence of income-related inequalities in
depression and have suggested that other factors have a more marked impact, most notably those socio-environmental effects
linked to professional status and educational attainment. This paper seeks to measure and decompose the degree of socio-economic
inequality in the factors underlying reported depression by drawing on data from Spain (Spanish National Health Survey, 2003),
a country in which mental care coverage is somewhat limited, but where a marked social transformation has been apparent in
recent decades. Contrary to recent evidence, our findings point towards the existence of significant income-related inequalities
in the prevalence of reported (diagnosed) depression. However, the results from our decomposition analysis are more mixed.
While a modest proportion of overall inequalities (6–13%) is accounted for by income alone, labour status, demographics and
education appear to be more relevant. However, when controlling for potential endogeneity between income and depression by
using instrumental variables (IV), income is found to account for more than 50% of overall inequality in reported depression.
