The whole of Western metaphysics, particularly Platonism, sets up a partition between the sensory world and the supersensory world, laying the foundation for the mythology of the supersensory world. After Descartes set contemporary metaphysics on its course, Feuerbach became the first to attack the essence of the supersensory world on an ontological level and to transfer the criticism of theology to that of metaphysics in general. While in the final analysis Feuerbach’s criticism fails, Marx’s revolution appeals to the ontological notion of “sensory activity” or “objective activity” (i.e., practice), the core of which rests in piercing and overturning the fundamental framework of contemporary metaphysics—“the immanence of consciousness.” It is this ontological revolution which reveals the camouflage of the supersensory world’s mythology (i.e., ideology) and which simultaneously establishes a solid foundation for the critical analysis of the latter. Marx’s “science of history” is based on this foundation and develops from it. 相似文献

Philosophers have often applied a distinctively epistemic framework to the question of how moral knowledge can be derived
from fictional literature, by considering how true propositions, or their argumentative support, can be the cognitive fruits
of reading works of fiction. I offer an alternative approach. I focus not on whether readers fail to assent to the truth of
a proposition or fail to provide it rational support. Instead, I focus on how readers fail to accord a truth (which they already
accept) adequate importance in their web of beliefs about living a good human life. This is a form of ignorance, but in the
form of neglect, or failure to pay proper regard – which is one sense of the term ‘forgetfulness’. I argue that works of fictional
literature may, at times, stimulate audience members to overcome their own particular forms of forgetfulness in this respect.
And I use Tolstoy’s The Death of Ivan Ilyich as a case in point.

According to what Robert Stecker dubs the “ethical-aesthetic interaction” thesis, the ethical defects of a literary work can
diminish its aesthetic value. Both the thesis and the only prominent argumentative strategy employed to support it the affective
response argument have been hotly debated; however, Stecker has recently argued that the failure of the ARA does not undermine
the thesis, since the argument “fails to indentify the main reason [the thesis] holds, when it in fact does.” I critically
examine Stecker’s objection to the familiar versions of the affective response argument and the line of support for ethical-aesthetic
interaction he proposes to install in their place. I conclude that neither is compelling; however, an important insight can
be salvaged from his positive proposal, and I argue that the insight does, in fact, point toward a novel defense of the thesis.

This paper aims to discuss the increasingly unbalanced structure of public communication in Thailand. To this end, an Internet
survey and an in-depth interviews will be employed to investigate the unprecedented popularity of the Internet with people
who are dissatisfied with the mainstream media (commercial newspapers, radio and television), which do not serve their need
to have their voice heard in public. The study argues that due to (1) the media domination of political and business powers,
(2) the lack of a public channel of communication and (3) the suppression of opposing viewpoints by the government, people
utilise the Internet and the bulletin boards, in particular, as an alternative form of communication to express their concerns
and engage in public affairs. The main argument of this paper is to dispel the notion that the Internet is a medium that is
exclusively the purview of those who are affluent, who are privileged with resources, income or education. The predominant
belief in Thailand today is that the Internet is there to serve the privileged and that this could lead to even more elitist
control and censorship. Conversely, this investigation reveals that people as users can in fact make a difference; that is,
to a large extent, they are capable of influencing the medium to be more supportive of them and their environment. As the
Internet is capable of being a venue of popular usage, this paper argues that it is crucial to support this new medium’s penetration
of a wider public. The problem of a digital divide needs to be addressed; large sections of population, especially those who
lack either financial resources or technical skills, must be included in this Information and Communication Technologies development.

This article identifies the people Meyer mentions in his article, “Philosophy of Occupation Therapy,” published in Archives of Occupational Therapy (Meyer, 1922c) and critiques the ideas discussed. Because there is no list of references provided within the article itself, the researcher selected the methodology of source criticism to identify the names of individuals appearing in the text—locating each person’s publications and analyzing the publications for influential ideas. Twenty-one names were found and publications were located for 15. Ideas were identified and analyzed. Finally, Meyer’s ideas were compared to current models of practice and a proposed reference list was created. 相似文献

Self-report, other-report, clinical interview, and behavioral observations of evaluative maternal feedback (e.g., positive feedback, criticism), adolescent depressive symptoms, and self-perceived competence were obtained from 72 adolescents and their mothers. Most path analyses supported the hypothesis that adolescent self-perceived competence completely mediates the relation between negative maternal feedback and adolescent depressive symptoms, even after controlling for prior levels of depression. Consistent with Cole's competency-based model of depression (D. A. Cole, 1990), these results suggest that high levels of negative maternal feedback (coupled with low levels of positive feedback) are associated with adolescent negative self-perceptions, which in turn place adolescents at risk for depressive symptoms. 相似文献

Parent-Child Interactions in Relation to Critical and Emotionally Overinvolved Expressed Emotion (EE): Is EE a Proxy for Behavior? 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Expressed emotion measures, encompassing dimensions of criticism (CRIT), and emotional overinvolvement (EOI) are increasingly being used to assess the parent-child relationship in child clinical populations, despite the lack of studies assessing their validity. We examined the correspondence between CRIT, EOI, and parent-child interactions as observed by neutral coders in a sample of 252 clinic-referred children and adolescents, ages 7-17 years. We found support for the validity of the CRIT code, with high critical parents showing more antagonism, negativity, disgust, harshness, and less responsiveness, compared to parents who scored in the low or borderline ranges. In contrast, none of the observed behaviors were found to correspond with parental EOI, suggesting either that this construct lacks validity with juvenile samples or that behaviors that correspond to EOI are difficult to observe. We conclude that high parental CRIT can be used as an index of problematic parent-child interactions. 相似文献
