Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is considered a mental disease that affects an estimated 5% of the world’s youth population. Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs) such as Electroencephalograms (EEGs) and functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) have been used to study and treat this mental disease. This paper shows the plausibility of using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) as a serious game for therapeutic purposes through a systematic review of the current state of UAVs and how they have been coupled to BCIs in order to control them through mental commands. Also, challenges and research opportunities from a usability approach related to the game design, interaction design, and cognitive rehabilitation are identified and described. We hope that the research opportunities identified in this paper can be useful to guide future research and gain insight into how to solve challenges related to the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in cognitive therapies.  相似文献

This study investigated the effects of body-centred information on the transfer of spatial learning using a wayfinding task and tasks that specifically probe the route and survey strategies of navigation. The subject learned a route in either a real or a virtual environment (VE; 3D scale model of a Bordeaux neighbourhood) and then reproduced it in the real environment. The involvement of body-based information was manipulated across the spatial learning conditions in the VE: participants learned with full body-based information (treadmill with rotation), with the translational component only (treadmill without rotation) or without body-based information (joystick). In the wayfinding task, the results showed a significant effect of the learning environment with the best scores obtained in the real and treadmill with rotation conditions. There was no significant difference between these two conditions, but the real condition was significantly different from the treadmill without rotation and joystick conditions. Also, the visual flow was sufficient to successfully perform the two egocentric tasks used as well as a direction estimation task (a survey task), in so far as there is no significant difference between the joystick and the treadmill conditions. By contrast, the distance estimates were improved by the treadmill condition including the translational component (but not the rotational component). Finally, our results show that treadmill with rotation promotes the transfer of spatial learning from a virtual to a real environment (compared to joystick and treadmill without rotation). Moreover, body-centred informations are more involved in allocentric (distance estimates) than egocentric navigational strategies.  相似文献

The γ/γ′ interfaces are thought to play an important role in determining the mechanical properties in single-crystal nickel-based superalloys. In this article, interfacial width in DD6, one second-generation single-crystal superalloy containing 2 wt% Re, has been studied by means of scanning transmission electron microscopy. From an atomic resolution high angle annular dark field image, both compositional interfaces and order–disorder interfaces are studied, and it is first found that the interfacial width of chemical composition is same with that between the ordered and disordered phases.  相似文献

Coupling atom probe tomography and transmission electron microscopy, the temporal evolution of γ′ precipitate morphology and size distribution and compositional width of the γ/γ′ interface, have been tracked in a model Ni-14Al-7Cr (at.%) alloy, during isothermal annealing at 800?°C subsequent to rapid quenching. During the initial annealing period, coalescence-dominated growth and coarsening of γ′ precipitates are accompanied by a gradual decrease in the interface width, eventually leading to classical LSW coarsening with a constant interface width at extended annealing time periods.  相似文献

Abstract

Organizational innovation is approached as a joint conversational event where new configurations of meaning are constructed. The emphasis in this article is on understanding the social dynamic processes of creating new meaning. A perspectivistic approach is developed which looks at how actors speak from their perspectives and give form to the sense-making process through discursive practices. The innovation process is documented, using an interpretive research, in two case studies: the creation of a young high tech firm and the internal development of a manufacturing unit of a multinational corporation. Three theoretical propositions derived from the cases are discussed and interwoven with existing literature: generative characteristics of conversations, the experiential profundity which can be seen as inherently social-relational, and the paradoxical nature of innovation. These propositions are summarized in conceptual charts; their use lies in multiplying and developing them into new ones as new contexts are explored.  相似文献

Following an examination of the missions of industry and the university there is a comparison of the ‘wish-lists’ of industry and the university. These ‘wish-lists’ have both similarities and differences. Some of the differences are expressed in a further section on the kinds of interactions that neither institution wants from the other. In the canonical university, the culture values features such as openness, individuality and the de-emphasis of monetary matters, whereas in the archetypal industry the prevailing ethos tends towards secrecy, teamwork and financial advancement. When two such cultures are juxtaposed under conditions where the survival of the university is dependent, in part, on receiving funds from industry, there is a danger of an erosion of academic standards as the university becomes more oriented to service the needs of industry as opposed to the development of its students and its independent scholastic and research activities. Industry, however, is in a position to derive benefit from the interaction without incurring an equivalent cost. These issues are discussed and some recommendations are made to improve the ethical nature of the interaction.  相似文献

This paper puts forward the hypothesis that consciousness might be linked to matter in a way which is more sophisticated than the traditional macroscopic Cartesian hypothesis suggests.Advances in the biophysics of the nervous system, not only on the level of its macroscopic functioning but also on the level of individual ion channels, have made the question of how finely consciousness is tied to matter and its dynamics more important. Quantum mechanics limits the attainable resolution and puts into doubt the idea of an infinitely fine-woven attachment. A recent approach to physics rekindles such a rationalist hope. Endophysics focuses on the global implications of microscopic computer simulations of chemical and biophysical processes. A complete artificial universe can be set up in the computer. It produces non-classical and nonlocal effects inside — on the interface that exists between an internal observer (fluid neuron) and the rest of the world. This interface is finer than any brain property to which the status of the mind-body interface has been attributed hitherto. A new class of experiments becomes possible in the artificial world and, by analogy, in the real world. Magnetic resonance imaging experiments, routinely performed under open-loop conditions, can be repeated under psychophysical (closed-loop) conditions — in search for microscopically induced changes in the perceived and measured structure of the world.  相似文献

以大学生为被试,利用眼动法和主观评定法,分析了大学生在评估不同颜色(银白色、红色)、不同外形(椭圆形、圆形、长方体形和四棱柱形)MP3播放器外观设计时的眼动特征。结果发现:对于MP3播放器的外观来说,被试最关注的区域是功能键区域,即就是关注MP3播放器的人机交流功能;对于不同外形的MP3播放器,被试对圆形MP3播放器最感兴趣。  相似文献
