自杀性恐怖主义是指为了引起目标对象或公众的注意并散播恐怖气氛, 而自愿采取与选定目标同归于尽的方式残害无辜, 自愿牺牲自己的生命去换取任务的成功, 从而达到某种宗教、政治或社会目的。自杀性恐怖分子并没有单一的心理侧写, 其动机也很复杂。他们可能是出于宗教或政治目的而进行自杀性恐怖袭击, 也可能是基于理性分析而做出的选择。意义追寻模型是将有关自杀性恐怖分子动机的理论和观点连接起来, 形成的一个具有说服力的综合模型。自杀性恐怖主义的性别差异不大, 只是女性可能想要争取性别平等, 也更可能受个人原因的驱使。由于自杀性恐怖分子的真实数据和信息很难搜集, 所以得出的可能只是推测性的结论, 在未来的研究中还需要运用更多其他的实证研究方法。 相似文献

The present longitudinal study extends the findings of earlier cross-sectional studies (Waterman, Schwartz, Green, Miller, & Philip, 2003) on the subjective experience of intrinsic motivation. University students generated lists of personally salient (identity-related) activities at the beginning of an academic semester and were asked to evaluate these activities at three points during the semester. Drawing on theories of intrinsic motivation, three subjective indices of intrinsic motivation (interest, flow experiences, and feelings of personal expressiveness) and three theoretically derived predictor variables (self-determination, the balance of challenges and skills, and self-realization values) were used in the present study. Cross-sectional relationships between the predictors and subjective experience indices at each timepoint replicated those observed in previous research. Hierarchical linear modeling was used to demonstrate that, as hypothesized, increases or decreases in the predictor variables between timepoints were associated with corresponding increases or decreases in the subjective experience indices. Implications for the study of intrinsic motivation are discussed. 相似文献

This paper presents data on the behaviours and food types associated with the transfer of individual food items in Temminck's red colobus (Procolobus badius temminckii). The relevance of (a) male–female differences and (b) the properties of the individual food items are addressed. Although the data are limited, it does suggest that food transfer, in this species, is infrequent, not particularly related to increasing nutritional knowledge or value, usually involve highly visible large items and is predominantly an aggressive male behaviour—from infancy through adulthood. This study explores the effects of task interdependence (high versus low) and helping norms (supportive versus non-supportive)
on propensity to seek help. Participants were most likely to seek help when: (1) task interdependence was high, and (2) supportive
help-seeking norms were operative. A 2-way interaction also emerged. Under the non-supportive norms condition, help-seeking
was greatest for high versus low levels of task interdependence; when supportive norms were operative, relatively high levels
of help-seeking arose across task interdependence conditions. No support for the hypotheses that high self-esteem, high task

The behavioural manifestations of Big Five traits were compared across cultures using the Act Frequency Approach. American (n = 176) and Filipino (n = 195) students completed a Big Five measure and act frequency ratings for behaviours performed during the past month. Acts for specific traits cohered to an equivalent degree across cultures. In both cultures, the structure of act composites resembled the Big Five and the strength of trait‐behaviour relationships was very similar. Many acts were multidimensional and analyses revealed cultural commonalities and differences in the relevance and prevalence of acts for the Big Five traits. The results were more consistent with trait than cultural psychology perspectives, because traits predicted behaviour equally well, on average, in the two cultures. Building on prior research studying effortful decision making and enactment processes (Bagozzi, Dholakia, & Basuroy, 2003; BDB), we identify and provide an in‐depth understanding of two specific self‐regulatory strategies: (1) formulating an implementation plan, and (2) remembering past actions, that decision makers can use in facilitating enactment of effortful decisions. The results of three experiments, in which the decision maker's goal and self‐regulatory strategy were manipulated, showed that for goals that decision makers chose volitionally, the motivational effects of both these strategies lay in increasing levels of proximal implementation‐related variables (implementation intentions, plan completeness, plan enactment, and goal realization) significantly. In contrast, for goals that were assigned to participants, these strategies' motivational effects additionally extended to significantly increasing distal goal‐related variables (goal desire, goal intentions, perceived self‐efficacy, and implementation desires).
