Since the early days of COVID-19, university teaching has changed from face-to-face format to online mode. With the gradual containment of the pandemic, there is no need for school lockdown. As a result, the teaching format has changed to HyFlex mode integrating both face-to-face and online modes. Obviously, it is necessary to understand the academic quality of life among students under the Hyflex teaching mode. In this paper, we report an evaluation study on a leadership subject in Hong Kong delivered via HyFlex teaching using a post-lecture evaluation strategy. In one of the lectures, we covered law-abiding leadership in university students, including abiding by the Hong Kong National Security Law. The post-lecture evaluation showed that students generally held positive views toward the HyFlex teaching and they perceived that the subject promoted their well-being indexed by psychosocial competence. Regarding the lecture on law-abiding leadership, students agreed that the lecture promoted their psychosocial competence, personal development, knowledge about law-abiding behavior and national security (including the Hong Kong National Security Law), and readiness to serve as socially responsible leaders. Positive perceptions of the lecture design, teacher performance, lecture content of law-abiding leadership and national security, and benefits positively predicted students’ overall satisfaction with the lecture on law-abiding leadership and national security.
Fracture behavior of Cu–Ni laminate composites has been investigated by tensile testing. It was found that as the individual layer thickness decreases from 100 to 20 nm, the resultant fracture angle of the Cu–Ni laminate changes from 72° to 50°. Cross-sectional observations reveal that the fracture of the Ni layers transforms from opening to shear mode as the layer thickness decreases while that of the Cu layers keeps shear mode. Nanocrystalline (nc) Mg powder was synthesized via cryomilling. Extension twins were identified with high-resolution transmission electron microscopy in the cryomilled powders and the study presents the first evidence of twinning in unalloyed nc Mg. The formation of twins in the nc Mg is attributed to a high strain rate, the low (cryogenic) temperature and high local shear stresses present around the grain boundaries during deformation by cryomilling. 相似文献

Various definitions and different approaches for assessing the complex construct of parental involvement (PI) have led to inconsistent findings regarding the impact of PI on child development. To date, limited information is available regarding the measurement invariance of PI measures across time and groups (e.g., children’s gender, ethnicity, and socio-economic status), leaving a concern that group differences in PI might reflect item bias instead of true differences in PI. The present study aimed to obtain a set of optimal items for measuring PI from kindergarten through the elementary school years and investigate whether they could be used for parents from different groups. A Rasch measurement model was implemented to investigate item difficulty, step calibrations, and measurement invariance (differential item functioning; DIF, here). The results from the Early Childhood Longitudinal Study, Kindergarten Class of 1998–1999 data set showed that 20 items can be used to measure three dimensions of PI—namely school/home involvement, family educational investment, and family routines—across four time points. Administrative time, children’s gender, ethnicity, and social economic status showed different levels of effect on item difficulty for half of these items. Practitioners and researchers should be cautious when using these items and are suggested to freely estimate the item parameters of DIF items as well as add more items to the PI scale to improve reliability. 相似文献
