The purpose of this study was to assess the informational content, readability, suitability and comprehensibility of websites offering educational information about monogenic diabetes available to patients. The top 20 results from 15 queries in four search engines were screened. Content analysis was performed by two independent coders. Readability was determined using Flesch-Kincaid grade level (FKGL) and Simplified Measure of Goobledygook (SMOG). The Comprehensibility Assessment of Materials (SAM + CAM) scale was utilized to evaluate website suitability and comprehensibility. Only 2% (N = 29) of 1200 screened websites met inclusion criteria. Content analysis showed that 16 websites presented information on at least the most common forms of MODY (1, 2 and 3), four addressed the utility of genetic counseling, and none included support resources for patients. All websites exceeded the consensus readability level (6th grade) as assessed by FKGL (10.1 grade) and SMOG (12.8 ± 1.5 grades). Although the majority (N = 20) of websites had an overall “adequate” to “superior” quality score (SAM + CAM score > = 40%), more than one-third scored “not suitable” in categories of content, literacy demand, graphics, and learning motivation. Learning through repetition is a fundamental form and also an effective method of language learning critical for achieving
proficient and automatic language use. Massive repetition priming as a common research paradigm taps into the dynamic processes
involved in repetition learning. Research with this paradigm has so far used only emotionally neutral materials and ignored
emotional factors, which seems inappropriate given the well-documented impact of emotion on cognitive processing. The present
study used massive repetition priming to investigate whether the emotional valence of learning materials affects implicit
language learning. Participants read a list of Chinese words and made speeded perceptual judgments about the spatial configuration
of the two characters in a word. Each word was repeated 15 times in the whole learning session. There were three types of
words, negative, positive, or neutral in their emotional valence, presented in separate blocks. Although similar levels of
asymptotic performance were reached for different valence conditions showing comparable total effects of learning, learning
of the positive words was found to be associated with fewer plateaus of shorter durations and to reach saturation earlier,
compared with neutral and negative words. The results showed for the first time that the emotional valence of learning materials
has significant effects on the time course of learning so that positive materials are learned faster and more efficiently,
relative to negative and neutral materials. The study indicates the importance to explicitly consider the role of emotional

Mental health courts (MHCs) use a collaborative justice approach to provide a therapeutic alternative to the traditional justice process for defendants with mental illnesses directly relevant to their alleged criminal offenses. MHCs have proliferated in recent years, in light of early research reports documenting their successes. The aim of this paper is to provide further evaluation of the effects of MHCs by evaluating the impact of the Sacramento County MHC in California. We analyzed quantitative data and conducted interviews with stakeholders and MHC participants to understand how the MHC influenced individual participants' recidivism rates, mental health, and quality of life. Results from the quantitative data analysis indicate that defendants had a lower rate of recidivism after the MHC program than before it. Moreover, graduates were less likely to be rearrested and rehospitalized than non‐graduates. Qualitative analyses revealed several core themes regarding participants' views on facilitators and barriers related to the MHC's success. These findings provide further insights into the effectiveness of MHCs. 相似文献
