Employing the distinction between the authoritarian (based on coercion) and the authoritative (based on excellence), this study of the understanding of authority in the Analects argues against interpretations of Confucianism which cast Confucius himself as advocating authoritarianism. Passages with key notions such as shang 上 and xia 下; fu 服 and cong 從; quan 權 and wei 威, are analyzed to illuminate ideas of hierarchy, obedience, and the nature of authority itself in the text. The evidence pieced together reveals the Master to be authoritative rather than authoritarian; and the social order to which he aspired is one based on excellence rather than on coercion. The article then considers why teachings which present a model of authority as authoritative ended up as often identified with authoritarianism and concludes with some thoughts about how Confucianism might be rescued from authoritarian practice. 相似文献

“马克思主义中国化”是20世纪30年代末毛泽东明确提出的一个理论命题,新哲学会群体对其进行了初步论证。该会内部对这一命题的解释是有区别的,但其论证的发展趋势,则有意识或无意识地成为与毛泽东的名字相联结的逻辑链上不可或缺的一环,从而为后来毛泽东的思想就是“中国的马克思主义”结论的得出,以及与此有内在逻辑关联的“毛泽东思想”概念的产生,提供了理论的合法性基础。“马克思主义中国化”这一命题能够成立,并成为中国的意识形态,是当时各种主客观因素作用的必然结果,其中也体现了领袖者个人毛泽东的理论智慧,以及新哲学会群体理论论证的贡献。今天在继续使用这一在具体条件下产生的具有普遍意义的命题时,不应忽视其原初的本真意义,并要赋予其普适性和时代性内涵。 相似文献

We extended self-determination theory by examining personality antecedents and self-regulatory consequences of perceived locus of causality (PLOC), which is the extent to which individuals perceive their actions as caused by internal or external reasons. We theorized that personality would influence PLOC and that individuals with internal PLOC would engage in more self-regulatory activities, which would in turn predict performance and enjoyment. We used structural equation modeling with data collected from 260 students at 4 time points to test our hypotheses. The model fit the data well. Although personality had direct effects on the self-regulatory activities of effort and meta-cognitive strategies, in addition to the indirect effects via PLOC, tests confirmed that including the indirect effects produced the best-fitting model. 相似文献

To evaluate psychometric properties the Chinese (mainland) version of the 30-item Job Content Questionnaire was administered to 889 employees in 4 industries of PetroChina. A retest at 3 months with 296 randomly chosen employees showed reliabilities ranged from .76 to .93. Cronbach coefficients alpha for the 8 dimensions ranged from .43 to .88, indicating that the Job Insecurity subscale had low internal consistency. Exploratory factor analysis showed 8 meaningful factors corresponding to the 8 theoretical dimensions of this questionnaire.
