明末传教士与西方演绎逻辑的传入

明末西方传教士出于抬高西方宗教、传播宗教福音的政治考量,翻译出版了大量的西方科学著作.西方演绎逻辑思想正是在这样的背景下,得以在明末被翻译介绍到国内.这其中,尤以利玛窦推动译介的<几何原本>及傅汎际推动译介的<名理探>最为知名.这其中,自然也毫无例外地带有浓厚的为宗教传道先行的色彩.但也在客观上帮助了中国人了解西方演绎逻辑的思想,带动了其后国内学界对挖掘本土以名辩学为基础的中国逻辑史研究的热潮.     

A COMPARISON OF MALE AND FEMALE DIRECTORS IN POPULAR PORNOGRAPHY: WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WOMEN ARE AT THE HELM?

Pornography is a lucrative business. Increasingly, women have participated in both its production, direction, and consumption. This study investigated how the content in popular pornographic videos created by female directors differs from that of their male counterparts. We conducted a quantitative analysis of 122 randomly selected scenes from 44 top-renting adult videos in 2005 (half male- and half female-directed). Findings revealed that all films shared similar depictions: Verbal and physical aggression was common, women were the primary targets of aggression, and negative responses to aggression were extremely rare. Compared to male-directed films, female-directed films were significantly more likely to portray women-only scenes and sexual acts. Even when controlling for main characters' gender, female-directed films showed significantly more female perpetrators aggressing against female targets and significantly more depictions of women as perpetrators of aggression. We highlight the importance of economic forces, rather than director gender, in dictating the content of popular pornography.

本文从美国世俗人文主义者意欲恢复科学理性的视角,将第十二届探索中心世界大会上部分发言人的观点呈现出来。主要涉及对美国布什8年执政进行了反思,分析了当前国际上科学阻力与非理性运动发展,发出了对科学理性与世俗人文主义的呼唤。这些有助于我们了解当代国际非宗教运动发展情况。     

The Multiple Meanings of Age for Television Content Preferences

Two studies examined how adult age and time of measurement influence media preferences. Study 1 (using TV ratings data from 1970s to 1980s) found that the popularity of genres varied over time, but even after controlling for year, age groups differed in (a) genre choices (consistent with socioemotional selectivity theory) and (b) age of characters viewed (consistent with age identity theory). The average age of characters in each program partially mediated age differences in ratings of comedies and news, and suppressed a negative relationship between viewer age and ratings of violent programs. Study 2 (using 2005 survey data) found similar genre and character preferences. In addition, subjective age predicted age of favorite characters beyond the effect of chronological age.     

佛经偈颂的翻译体例及相关问题

最初作为佛教诗体的名称,"偈"是一个音译字,对应于梵文的Geya.随着佛经的传译和佛教深入中国民众的生活,道教经典也将其中的歌唱作品称作偈,文人作品中也出现了偈.翻译佛偈一般一偈由四句构成,也存在二句、六句、八句、十二句构成一偈的现象.     

礼仪和当代社会理论：权力、公民社会和自我认同

德裔社会学家诺贝特．爱理雅斯的《文明化进程》是礼仪研究领域的名著。本文介绍了它的基本观点，指出了它的不足之处，并在三种新的社会理论的视角下，重新审视了该理论和礼仪研究。爱理雅斯认为，西欧社会在中世纪末以后经历了一个”文明化”的过程，即人们更能够克制自我，言行举止更为谦恭有礼，其原因有二，一是国家对暴力的垄断，二是社会相互依赖性的增强。这一理论在文明化进程的一般性、历史起源及真实性等三个方面都存在着缺陷。礼仪研究和三种新社会理论可以在如下的条件下相互增益：福柯式的权力重新获得主体，公民社会有必要关注非政治动机，而自我认同则可以突现其历史性和日常性的一面。     

The Change in Suicide Rates between 2002 and 2011 in China

Chinese suicide rates have been reported in various studies in the past two decades, but few of them were based on national data. The most recent mortality data (2002–2011) provided by the China Ministry of Health and the detailed census data provided by the National Population Census were used in this study. We calculated the age‐, gender‐, and region‐specific suicide rates and their trends in the past 10 years between 2002 and 2011. The overall suicide rates in China decreased during the study period. The rural/urban ratio of the suicide rates has been significantly reduced from the ratio in the 1990s, and male suicide rates have exceeded those of females. Age was positively associated with suicide rates without the two peaks found in the suicide rates over 20 years ago. The Chinese suicide rates have significantly declined in the past decade, with withering of the unique suicide rate patterns previously found in Chinese suicides about 20 years ago.     

Psychosocial–Environmental Risk Factors for Suicide Attempts in Adolescents with Suicidal Ideation: Findings from a Sample of 73,238 Adolescents

We determined risk factors that discriminate between suicide attempt (SA) adolescents and suicidal ideation only (SI only) adolescents using data from the 2010 Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web‐based Survey (12–19 years; N = 73,238). In males, heavy alcohol use, drug use, and high perceived sadness/hopelessness showed significant effects on the presence of SA versus the presence of SI only. In females, along with these variables, low academic achievement, poor perceived health status, high perceived stress, and unhealthy coping strategy were also significantly related to the presence of SA versus SI only. Therefore, clinical interventions targeting adolescents' psychological distress are warranted to prevent suicide.     

戊子年中国道教内地正一派授箓活动在龙虎山天师府举行

2008年12月19日至23日(农历冬至),中国道教内地正一派授箓活动在江西龙虎山嗣汉天师府隆重举行.授箓活动由中国道教协会主办,龙虎山嗣汉天师府承办.整个活动为期五天,箓生来自内地17个省(市、自治区),共133人.     

马克思主义者本雅明的波德莱尔形象:--以《波德莱尔笔下第二帝国的巴黎》为例

本文在文本细读的基础上对本雅明后期的重要论文《波德莱尔笔下第二帝国的巴黎》进行分析，并得出结论：正是由于本雅明运用了马克思主义的思想，本论文才具备了清晰谨严的结构，也使一个批判性的波德莱尔形象与作为马克思主义理论家的本雅明形象皆得展现。
