Abstract

The current study explored the psychometric properties of a parent-child interaction observation system, the Dyadic Parent-Child Interaction Coding System (DPICS) in the Netherlands. Participants included 31 Dutch mother-child dyads and 86?U.S. mother-child dyads for a community sample (2–7?years; 50% boys). Good one-week test-retest reliability was demonstrated among the Dutch sample. Similarities were found between Dutch and U.S. samples on most interaction codes, but mothers in the U.S. sample used more directive behaviors (e.g., commands) in some situations. Findings suggest that the DPICS is a reliable measure of mother-child interactions in the Dutch population. Cultural issues regarding the use of the DPICS are discussed.  相似文献

Thin laminates (thickness δ = 20–45 nm) of barium titanate, BaTiO3 (BT), have been synthesised by the sol–gel method followed by heating of the amorphous precursor powder in air. An orthorhombic BT polymorph forms along with a tetragonal phase (t-BT) after 2 h of heating the precursor at 600°C, as evidenced by a well-defined X-ray diffraction pattern. The average crystallite size D ~ 21 nm compares the δ-value obtained from the scanning electron micrograph. On heating at temperatures as high as 750°C, the structure remains mostly t-BT (D ? 44 nm), which emits violet–blue–green light at a wavelength of 380–580 nm with a maximum at around 422 nm. The emission extends to wavelengths shorter than ~300 nm owing to a quantum-size effect in smaller crystals processed at lower temperatures. Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), which occurs at a g-value of 1.995 (linewidth ΔH = 1.12 mT) in a sample heated at 400°C, shows an order of magnitude of lower intensity at g = 1.993 (ΔH = 3.69 mT) on annealing out the paramagnetic defects at 600°C in air. No EPR signal arises in t-BT free from such defects in larger crystals.  相似文献

This article explores the transformation of ethics in a globalizing technological society. After describing some basic features of this society, particularly the primacy it gives to a special type of technical rationality, three specific influences on traditional ethics are examined: (1) a change concerning the notion of value, (2) the decreasing relevance of the concept of axiological hierarchy, and (3) the new internal architecture of ethics as a net of values. These three characteristics suggest a new pragmatic understanding of ethics. From a pragmatic perspective, the process of introducing ethical values into contemporary society can be regarded as a beneficial Trojan horse, a metaphor that will be developed further.  相似文献

Internalizing and externalizing disorders are often, though inconsistently in studies of young children, associated with low baseline levels of respiratory sinus arrhythmia (RSA). RSA is thus considered to reflect the capacity for flexible and regulated affective reactivity and a general propensity for psychopathology. However, studies assessing RSA reactivity to emotional challenges tend to report more consistent associations with internalizing than with externalizing disorders, although it is unclear whether this is a function of the type of emotion challenges used. In the present study, we examined whether baseline RSA was associated with internalizing and/or externalizing severity in a sample of 273 young children (ages 5–6) with elevated symptoms of psychopathology. Following motivation-based models of emotion, we also tested whether RSA reactivity during withdrawal-based (fear, sadness) and approach-based (happiness, anger) emotion inductions was differentially associated with internalizing and externalizing symptoms, respectively. Baseline RSA was not associated with externalizing or internalizing symptom severity. However, RSA reactivity to specific emotional challenges was associated differentially with each symptom domain. As expected, internalizing symptom severity was associated with greater RSA withdrawal (increased arousal) during fearful and sad film segments. Conversely, externalizing symptom severity was related to blunted RSA withdrawal during a happy film segment. The use of theoretically derived stimuli may be important in characterizing the nature of the deficits in emotion processing that differentiate the internalizing and externalizing domains of psychopathology.  相似文献

RESUMEN

El conocimiento de los efectos placebo plantea el problema metodológico de cómo comprobar la eficacia de distintos procesos terapéuticos. Este problema es analizado por Bayés, que comienza destacando dos necesidades fundamentales: en primer lugar, la de promover investigación científica para evaluar el coste, grado de peligrosidad y eficacia de los tratamientos psicológicos y psiquiátricos, y en segundo, la urgencia de llevar a cabo investigaciones para averiguar de qué factores depende que los cambios positivos obtenidos se mantengan, y si los cambios instaurados a través de una estrategia concreta se mantienen mejor que los obtenidos mediante técnicas alternativas. Seguidamente desarrolla un proyecto de evaluación, secuencial y sistemático, de los efectos de un tratamiento psicológico, señalando tres aspectos fundamentales y dos caminos por los que poder realizar esta evaluación. Respecto al análisis de las condiciones que confieren o restan eficacia a un tratamiento, el autor sugiere dos herramientas: estrategias metodológicas que proporcionen datos empíricos fiables y un marco teórico común. La última parte se reserva al análisis de los diseños intrasujeto y la exposición de los cinco niveles implicados en el entramado de los tratamientos psicológicos, y finaliza destacando algunas estrategias prioritarias para el buen planteamiento del problema.  相似文献

Effects of task interdependence and communication technologies synchrony on performance in virtual teams. Survey results of 197 employees from 41 work groups in a large multinational software firm were used to investigate the effects of within-group task interdependence and the degree of communication synchrony on performance in virtual teams (VTs). The analyses revealed a moderating effect of task interdependence on the relationship between the degree of communications synchrony and performance in VT. We found that superior VTs performance is contingent on the fit between the nature of the task (i.e., task interdependence) and the choice of communications modality. This study complements previous research providing additional evidence of how task-technology interaction affects VTs performance, and extends previous findings obtained with ad-hoc groups in laboratory settings to natural, organizational teams.  相似文献

The aim of this work was to analyse the psychometric properties of the semantics and pragmatics modules of the Objective and Criterial Language Battery (BLOC). For the semantics module (n= 259), Cronbach's alpha was 0.84; for the pragmatics module (n= 142), Cronbach's alpha was 0.91. A Categoric Principal Components Analysis (CAPCAT), produced unidimentional solutions, explaining 41.65% of the variance in the semantics module, and 41.77% in the pragmatics module. We did not find differences in performance by sex. By socio-economic status, lower status children performed worse than those of middle and higher status, but only in the semantics module. Differences by age were small, with both modules producing between 3 and 4 homogeneous groups with substantial overlap. Lack of discrimination is probably related to reduced variability due to low performance in the Chilean samples. Compared to Spain, medians in the semantics module were lower than expected (though medians in the pragmatics module were slightly higher).  相似文献

In this paper we analyze differences between cognitive (selection, organizational, elaboration and rehearsal) and self-regulatory (planning, monitoring-regulating) strategies depending on academic goals. A total of 447 obligatory secondary education students (55% boys and 44,7% girls) participated in this study. The results indicated that as well as learning goals, other goals (obtain social approval or a good job) are related to the use of strategies and study engagement. Even performance-approach and performance-avoidance goals are significantly related to cognitive and self-regulatory strategies use.  相似文献

This research has two aims: first, to determine the relationship between the intergroup differences perceived and the anxiety experienced by ingroup members in their contact with members of the outgroup. Second, to examine the moderator and/or mediator role of a series of variables considered relevant in the literature on intergroup prejudice, take into account Baron and Kenny's (1986) requeriments. This analysis is carried out from the perspective of the minority group, in this case Moroccan inmigrants to Almería. The results confirm the moderating role of the variables pressure to assimilate and perception of xenophobia and the mediating role of inmigrants' attitude towards local people and social paranoia.  相似文献

This study was designed to examine the dyslexic subtypes in a transparent orthography (i.e., Spanish language). The subtyping procedure used comparison with chronological-age-matched and reading-level controls on reaction times (RTs) to high frequency words and to pseudowords. Using regression-based procedures, the authors identified 20 phonological and 48 surface dyslexics from a sample of 89 dyslexic third-grade children by comparing them to chronological-age-matched controls on RTs to high frequency and pseudoword reading. However, when the dyslexic subtypes were defined by reference to reading-level controls, the same 20 phonological dyslexics were defined, but only 19 surface dyslexics were identified. Nevertheless, the results of the phonological awareness tasks and error analysis do not validate the division of the dyslexic sample into these subgroups.  相似文献
