In the past, research on grievances generally has excluded the views of grievants about the process and its consequences. This study is an analysis of self-reports of 324 grievants concerning the characteristics of a grievance-filing incident and its perceived outcomes. The results raise questions about the veracity of the industrial relations dictum that grievances should be settled at the lowest step in the process. Instead, the nature of the settlement and the type of grievance were perceived to have significant effects on outcome and attitude measures. 相似文献

This article will report the results of a study that was conducted to determine the long-term impact of the Master of Science Degree in Creative Studies, at Buffalo State College, on the personal and professional lives of the program graduates. A questionnaire designed to assess how graduate study in creativity has impacted graduates' personal and professional lives was sent to all program graduates. Analysis of the responses of the 38 Creative Studies graduates who completed the questionnaire indicated that study in creativity has significantly influenced their lives and is an integral part of their personal and professional activities. Few psychologists in Australia have been trained to provide supervision to probationary psychologists. The current preliminary study investigated whether a supervision training workshop could, in the view of representative psychologists, provide effective training across a range of psychological specialties, or whether separate training was needed for different specialties. The nine Queensland Chairs of the Australian Psychological Society specialisation colleges were given a semi‐structured interview to investigate the goals, content and processes of supervision within their specialty, and perceived relationships with other specialties. Results indicated considerable agreement regarding the content and process of supervision across specialties, suggesting that supervision has much in common regardless of specialty. 相似文献
