We evaluated the measurement properties of a new personality scale for use with military personnel in the French Navy (N = 1,266). Principal components analyses indicated a five-factor structure assessing emotional stability, ascendancy, openness, agreeableness, and conscientiousness. Each factor comprised two facets that included 7 items per facet for a total of 70 items. Reliability analyses indicate that the factors and corresponding facets were internally consistent and temporally stable. Validity analyses indicate that the TAMI-P was significantly correlated with comparable measures of personality—correlations ranged from .53 to .68 with the Revised NEO Personality Inventory and the Big Five Questionnaire. 相似文献

The development of therapeutic skills is an essential therapist-related variable that deserves special attention in the context of the currently increasingly discussed topic of therapeutic failures and discontinuation of therapy.Aim
The study investigated whether the use of simulated patients (SP) in the training of psychotherapists can lead to an increase in therapeutic skills.Material and methods
The use of SP (16 teaching units) was tested in a pre-post comparison with 29 training participants for child and adolescent therapy and analyzed from three perspectives: from the perspective of the SP, the training of participants and rater.Results
The work with SP in psychotherapy training leads to a significant increase in therapeutic skills; however, it requires further research to see if this teaching method is more effective than other approaches to teaching, whether it contributes to long-term changes in therapeutic skills and to what extent the results can be transferred to other therapeutic contexts (except exploration). 相似文献835.

The Levels of Emotional Awareness Scale (LEAS) developed by Lane et al. ( 1990 1990) measures the ability of a subject to discriminate his or her own emotional state and that of others. The scale is based on a cognitive‐developmental model in which emotional awareness increases in a similar fashion to intellectual functions. Because studies performed using North American and German populations have demonstrated an effect of age, gender, and level of education on the ability to differentiate emotional states, our study attempts to evaluate whether these factors have the same effects in a general French population. 750 volunteers (506 female, 244 male), who were recruited from three regions of France (Lille, Montpellier, Paris), completed the LEAS. The sample was divided into five age groups and three education levels. The results of the LEAS scores for self and others and the total score showed a difference in the level of emotional awareness for different age groups, by gender and education level. A higher emotional level was observed for younger age groups, suggesting that emotional awareness depends on the cultural context and generational societal teachings. Additionally, the level of emotional awareness was higher in women than in men and lower in individuals with less education. This result might be explained by an educational bias linked to gender and higher education whereby expressive ability is reinforced. In addition, given the high degree of variability in previously observed scores in the French population, we propose a standard based on our French sample. 相似文献

Children’s understanding of rewards for task completion was examined in the context of gender, and gender-based stereotypes. Eighty-eight children (43 girls, Moverall?=?58.39 months) completed a measure assessing gender-based occupational stereotypes. This measure, along with gender, was used to predict children’s self-reward for undergoing the testing, as well as their reward for a fictional other child having undergone the same procedure. The methodology provided a novel approach for studying reward allocation in children, as it did not require children to divide resources between themselves and another child for completing the same task. An occupation-based stereotype measure was found to predict the self-reward, as well as the reward allocated to the other child. In addition, the participant’s gender predicted self-reward, and an interaction between participant gender and gender of the experimenter contributed to predicting the other child reward. Overall, these findings suggest that gender and gender-based stereotyping have an impact on reward allocation of young children. Implications of these results in the context of reward allocation research among children and adult populations are discussed. 相似文献

This article analyzes the present status, development trends, and problems in the ethics of nuclear technology in light of a possible revision of its conceptual foundations. First, to better recognize the current state of nuclear technology ethics and related problems, this article focuses on presenting a picture of the evolution of the concepts and recent achievements related to technoethics, based on the ethics of responsibility. The term ‘ethics of nuclear technology’ describes a multidisciplinary endeavor to examine the problems associated with nuclear technology through ethical frameworks and paradigms. Second, to identify the reasons for the intensification of efforts to develop ethics in relation to nuclear technology, this article presents an analysis of the recent situation and future prospects of nuclear technology deployment. This includes contradictions that have aggravated nuclear dilemmas and debates stimulated by the shortcomings of nuclear technology, as well as the need for the further development of a nuclear culture paradigm that is able to provide a conceptual framework to overcome nuclear challenges. Third, efforts in the field of nuclear technology ethics are presented as a short overview of particular examples, and the major findings regarding obstacles to the development of nuclear technology ethics are also summarized. Finally, a potential methodological course is proposed to overcome inaction in this field; the proposed course provides for the further development of nuclear technology ethics, assuming the axiological multidisciplinary problematization of the main concepts in nuclear engineering through the basic ethical paradigms: analytical, hermeneutical, and poststructuralist. 相似文献

Numerous studies reported a strong link between working memory capacity (WMC) and
fluid intelligence (Gf), although views differ in respect to
how close these two constructs are related to each other. In the present study,
we used a WMC task with five levels of task demands to assess the relationship
between WMC and Gf by means of a new methodological approach
referred to as fixed-links modeling. Fixed-links models belong to the family of
confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and are of particular interest for
experimental, repeated-measures designs. With this technique, processes
systematically varying across task conditions can be disentangled from processes
unaffected by the experimental manipulation. Proceeding from the assumption that
experimental manipulation in a WMC task leads to increasing demands on WMC, the
processes systematically varying across task conditions can be assumed to be
WMC-specific. Processes not varying across task conditions, on the other hand,
are probably independent of WMC. Fixed-links models allow for representing these
two kinds of processes by two independent latent variables. In contrast to
traditional CFA where a common latent variable is derived from the different
task conditions, fixed-links models facilitate a more precise or purified
representation of the WMC-related processes of interest. By using fixed-links
modeling to analyze data of 200 participants, we identified a non-experimental
latent variable, representing processes that remained constant irrespective of
the WMC task conditions, and an experimental latent variable which reflected
processes that varied as a function of experimental manipulation. This latter
variable represents the increasing demands on WMC and, hence, was considered a
purified measure of WMC controlled for the constant processes. Fixed-links
modeling showed that both the purified measure of WMC (β = .48) as well as the
constant processes involved in the task (β = .45) were related to
Gf. Taken together, these two latent variables explained
the same portion of variance of Gf as a single latent variable
obtained by traditional CFA (β = .65) indicating that traditional CFA causes an
overestimation of the effective relationship between WMC and
Gf. Thus, fixed-links modeling provides a feasible method for a
more valid investigation of the functional relationship between specific

The Adaption-Innovation Inventory (AII), originally developed by Kirton (1976), is a widely used self-report instrument for measuring problem-solving styles at work. The present study investigates how scores on the AII are affected by different response styles. Data are collected from a combined sample (N = 738) of students, employees, and entrepreneurs. Using mixture distribution item response theory, we identify individuals with normal and distorted response styles. Additionally, we investigate antecedents and consequences of distorted responses. For antecedents, results indicate influences of cognitive schemata resulting from an individual's professional work context. For consequences, distorted responses show different relationships with occupational outcomes in comparison to normal responses. 相似文献
