Suicide notes of Chinese youth.

Examination of 17 suicide notes from youthful Chinese suicides indicated the common appearance of anger, self-criticism, and interpersonal friction as precipitant.

The Kuwait University Anxiety Scale was administered to 138 American college students and three meaningful factors identified, somewhat different from those identified by Abdel-Khalek in 2000.     

Absolutism in diaries of suicides

Two diaries, one from a completed suicide and one from an attempted suicide, were examined for the use of three words indicating absolutist thinking (perfect, always, and never). The diary of the attempted suicide had a significantly higher frequency use of "never" (2.75 per 1,000 words versus 1.73) but not the other words.     

Buying books online: follow-up

In a sample of 72 undergraduates, purchasing books online was predicted by their computer/Internet skills.     

National estimates of IQ and suicide and homicide rates

Nations with high estimated mean IQ scores had higher suicide rates and lower homicide rates after control for gross domestic product was introduced, significantly in 1970 but not in 1980.     

Depth of near-death experiences and confounding factors

In a sample of 51 near-death experiences, the depth of the reported experience was not related to the years since the experience.
