A systematic review was undertaken of the literature on the use of the Internet and other information and communication technologies (ICT's) in the provision and support of religious and spiritual care in healthcare. Indexes such as Medline, PsychoINFO and Proquest Religion were searched. The review found little systematic study of the effectiveness of the Internet and other ICT's in religious and spiritual care. It is believed that the results of this review provide a basis for promise spiri care in the further explora of the potential and of ICT's for tual healthcare.  相似文献

This paper reviews the results of 29 studies on the effectiveness of school consultation published between 1972 and 1977. Twenty-two of the studies reviewed (76%) reported at least one or more positive effects resulting from consultation interventions. Behavioral consultation was found to be particularly effective. Several methodological limitations of the studies which reduce the generality of their findings are discussed. These include lack of appropriate experimental control procedures, failure to control for individual consultant and consultee characteristics, infrequent use of multiple dependent measures assessing both attitudinal and behavioral changes, and the absence of follow-up data. Despite the problems entailed in measuring consultation outcomes, the practice does appear to be effective. Further research investigating the influence of specific consultation models and processes is recommended.  相似文献

A dominant theory of embodied aesthetic experience (Freedberg & Gallese, 2007, Trends in Cognitive Sciences, 11, 197) posits that the appreciation of visual art is linked to the artist’s movements when creating the artwork, yet a direct link between the kinematics of drawing actions and the aesthetics of drawing outcomes has not been experimentally demonstrated. Across four experiments, we measured aesthetic responses of students from arts and non-arts backgrounds to drawing movements generated from computational models of human writing. Experiment 1 demonstrated that human-like drawing movements with bell-shaped velocity profiles (Sigma Lognormal [SL] and Minimum Jerk [MJ]) are perceived as more natural and pleasant than movements with a uniform profile, and in both Experiments 1 and 2 movements that were perceived as more natural were also preferred. Experiment 3 showed that this effect persists if lower-level dynamic stimulus features are fully matched across experimental and control conditions. Furthermore, aesthetic preference for human-like movements were associated with greater perceptual fluency in Experiment 3, evidenced by unbiased estimations of the duration of natural movements. In Experiment 4, line drawings with visual features consistent with the dynamics of natural, human-like movements were preferred, but only by art students. Our findings directly link the aesthetics of human action to the visual aesthetics of drawings, but highlight the importance of incorporating artistic expertise into embodied accounts of aesthetic experience.  相似文献

The present study introduces the concept of a wellness lifestyle into the sales literature. In performing the role of an organizational boundary spanner, a salesperson may encounter an environment that generates a great deal of job stress. The stress-inducing situations are often broad in scope and influenced by multiple sources. Clarifying and expanding the knowledge of factors that influence salespersons’ abilities to cope with their stressful environments is important to sales organizations. We explore the notion of a salesperson practicing a wellness lifestyle and its potential to positively influence the development of coping strategies and organizational outcomes. Pay is used increasingly to recognize and reward performance; nevertheless, little research exists regarding the evaluation of pay increases. The data were collected, by applying the “method of limits” paradigm widely used in psychophysical measurement, from approximately 3,500 employees of a large industrial organization. Building on the seminal work of Hinrichs (1969), we posited and found that (a) Weber's Law is an inadequate explanation of pay evaluations; (b) individual difference variables moderate Weber fractions; (c) women did not expect less than men, they expected more; and (d) inflation increased evaluation thresholds. The potentially significant implications of these findings, for compensation administration and the paradigm in general, are discussed.  相似文献
