Since the 1920s, the Rorschach test has been widely used for the study of neurological populations. However, advances in the field of neuropsychology in the 1960s made it cease to be considered appropriate in this context. More recently, with the development of Exner’s Comprehensive System and its cognitivist problem-solving paradigm, a number of authors have reconsidered the test in light of contemporary neuropsychology, not only as a cognitive neuropsychological tool, but also as a useful instrument for the study of relationships between cognitive functioning and affect, and as an instrument capable of transcending theoretical and paradigmatic shifts and trends in neuropsychology and personality psychology. 相似文献

Previous research using the Deese–Roediger–McDermott (DRM) paradigm has shown that lists of associates in which the critical
words were easily identified as the themes of the lists produce lower levels of false memories in adults. In an attempt to
analyze whether this effect is due to the application of a specific memory-editing process (the identify-to-reject strategy),
two experiments manipulated variables that are likely to disrupt this strategy either at encoding or at retrieval. In Experiment
1, lists were presented at a very fast presentation rate to reduce the possibility of identifying the missing critical word
as the theme of the list, and in Experiment 2, participants were pressed to give yes/no recognition answers within a very
short time. The results showed that both of these manipulations disrupted the identifiability effect, indicating that the
identify-to-reject strategy and theme identifiability play a major role in the rejection of false memories in the DRM paradigm. 相似文献

The purpose of the study was to validate two measures of muscle dysmorphia (MD) into the Italian language. The sample included three participant groups: (1) competing bodybuilders, (2) non-competing bodybuilders, and (3) non-bodybuilding controls. In general the Italian versions of the scales showed psychometric utility that is consistent with the original instruments. A normative study was conducted using the Deese/Roediger–McDermott paradigm (DRM) to obtain false recognition for 60 six-word
lists in Spanish, designed with a completely new methodology. For the first time, lists included words (e.g., bridal, newlyweds, bond, commitment, couple, to marry) simultaneously associated with three critical words (e.g., love, wedding, marriage). Backward associative strength between lists and critical words was taken into account when creating the lists. The results
showed that all lists produced false recognition. Moreover, some lists had a high false recognition rate (e.g., 65%; jail, inmate, prison: bars, prisoner, cell, offender, penitentiary, imprisonment). This is an aspect of special interest for those DRM experiments that, for example, record brain electrical activity. This
type of list will enable researchers to raise the signal-to-noise ratio in false recognition event-related potential studies
as they increase the number of critical trials per list, and it will be especially useful for the design of future research. 相似文献

In this article the general and specific cognitive impairments of the boy R.H. with a de novo deletion 22q11.2 are described. His full-scale IQ was 73, and he obtained only slightly better verbal than non-verbal subtest scores. Neuropsychological assessment revealed specific impairments in perceptual categorization of objects presented suboptimal, matching of unfamiliar faces, and verbal learning and memory. In contrast, he performed in accordance with his intelligence level on other visual perceptual tasks, on non-verbal learning and memory tasks, and on attention tasks. Voxel-wise statistical comparison of a high-resolution T1-weighted magnetic resonance image of R.H's brain with similar images obtained from 14 normal control children revealed as major abnormalities a reduction of the right inferior parietal and superior occipital lobe, and a bilateral reduction of deep white matter behind the inferior frontal gyrus. These cognitive impairments and MRI abnormalities are not commonly described in 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome and may indicate a larger heterogeneity in the neurocognitive phenotype than currently evidenced. At least in this boy the microdeletion seems to have interfered with the development and functioning of particular neural subsystems, while the structure and functioning of other subsystems was left intact. 相似文献
