Modern neo-Confucianism is studied at two levels, one is at the historical level and the other at the academic level. Modern
neo-Confucianism at the historical level was developed in the modern context, but its basic content belongs to the traditional
Confucianism or the study of Confucian classics. Modern neo-Confucianism at the academic level recognizes both the deficiencies
of the traditional Confucianism and rationality of western learning, and dedicates itself to the modernization of Confucianism.
Though Ma Yifu’s moral philosophy is developed in the context of modern Chinese culture, it fails to deal with the problem
of modern transformation of Confucian ethical values and its content still belongs to the traditional Confucianism. So it
should be labeled as the modern neo-Confucianism in the historical sense. In this paper, the author makes a systematic exploration
and an evaluation of Ma Yifu’s ethical thought.

Most impulse purchasing research investigates individual‐level factors. This paper, however, examines the influence of shopping companion gender on impulse purchasing. The results of the three studies show that shoppers were more likely to exhibit impulse purchase behavior when shopping with an opposite gender companion. In addition, shoppers who were in the low‐cohesive condition and who shopped with an opposite gender companion were more likely to exhibit impulse purchase behavior than those who shopped with the same gender companion, and those who were susceptible to interpersonal influence were also more likely to exhibit impulse purchase behavior when shopping with an opposite gender companion. For shoppers who were not as susceptible to interpersonal influence, the influence of their companion's gender appeared to diminish on impulsive purchasing. 相似文献

Online game playing has become popular entertainment, yet its relationship with individuals' multitasking ability was inconsistent. Types of online game genre so far have not been compared and may be associated with multitasking abilities. This study proposed to explore the relationships between types of online game playing and multitasking ability, using Edinburgh Virtual Errands Test (EVET). One hundred and sixteen participants playing different online game genres, including multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA), other online game playing, and no‐online game playing were compared. Each participant was required to fill in Chen's Internet Addiction Scale and the Internet Usage Questionnaire and perform EVET and working memory tests. The results showed a positive correlation between multitasking ability and working memory. In addition, a positive association was found between MOBA‐type gaming and multitasking abilities measured by EVET. In conclusion, MOBA‐type gaming compared with other game playing is associated with better multitasking abilities in a virtual environment.Copyright © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

Two studies, involving 242 and 245 families, respectively, were conducted to explore the effects of family interaction on family harmony and well-being. Hypotheses were drawn from interpersonal theory, Relational-Models theory, and Confucian ethics. Each of the four members in a family, including father, mother, son, and daughter, completed a questionnaire designed to assess their behaviors toward each of the other three members. Six categories of interpersonal behavior were measured, including love, directing, domineering, hostility, submission, and respect. Both studies found that family affective interaction pattern following the Communal Sharing model contributed to family harmony and well-being. For each family relationship, the existence of particular forms of status differential (Authority Ranking) was beneficial, and several factors, such as role expectation and complementarity, moderated the effects of the status differential of a particular relationship. In general, positive effects were associated with interaction patterns which were consistent with Confucian ethics. 相似文献

Despite growing recognition that systemic family therapists need to be adept at personal reflection and managing the therapeutic
relationship, little research has explored the effects of training beyond the development of skills. This article provides
a report on a qualitative study focussed on the personal effects of family therapy training, with particular reference to
the aspects of training that foster personal reflection and growth. Twenty three trainees from three training institutions
were interviewed, utilizing the practices of grounded theory. Trainees reported a deepening relational awareness, which applied
to both personal and professional domains and included shifts in perspectives on relationships with loved ones. Five aspects
of training were identified as responsible: (1) personally challenging experiences with clients; (2) supervisors who live
the paradigm; (3) the demystification of theory; (4) a safe supervisory space; and (5) the development of trusting peer relationships.
Interns also described, in turn, how their personal development affected their clinical work, particularly in the development
of compassion and empathy. This study serves to highlight training practices that support reflective practice in systemic

The AT4 ligands, angiotensin IV and LVV-hemorphin 7, elicit robust effects on facilitating memory by binding to a specific site in the brain historically termed the angiotensin AT4 receptor. The identification of the AT4 receptor as insulin-regulated aminopeptidase (IRAP) is controversial, with other proteins speculated to be the target(s) of these peptides. In this study we have utilized IRAP knockout mice to investigate IRAP in the brain. We demonstrate that the high-affinity binding site for angiotensin IV is absent in IRAP knockout mice brain sections in parallel with the loss of IRAP immunostaining, providing irrefutable proof that IRAP is the specific high-affinity binding site for AT4 ligands. However, our characterization of the behavioural phenotype of the IRAP knockout mice revealed a totally unexpected finding. In contrast to the acute effects of IRAP inhibitors in enhancing memory, deletion of the IRAP gene resulted in mice with an accelerated, age-related decline in spatial memory that was only detected in the Y maze paradigm. Moreover, no alterations in behaviour of the IRAP knockout mice were observed that could assist in elucidating the endogenous substrate(s). Our results highlight the importance of analysing the behavioural phenotype of knockout mice across different ages and in distinct memory paradigms. 相似文献

Radical interpretation is used by Davison in his linguistic theory not only as an interesting thought experiment but also
a general pattern that is believed to be able to give an essential and general account of linguistic interpretation. If the
principle of charity is absolutely necessary to radical interpretation, it becomes, in this sense, a general methodological
principle. However, radical interpretation is a local pattern that is proper only for exploring certain interpretation in
a specific case, and consequently the principle of charity is an applicable principle in the limited scope. It is neither
the case that every linguistic interpretation is in nature radical nor that the principle of charity is the primary and fundamental
principle for all linguistic interpretation as Davidson believes.
