Prior research shows that learners have idiosyncratic responses to error‐correction procedures during instruction. Thus, assessments that identify error‐correction strategies to include in instruction can aid practitioners in selecting individualized, efficacious, and efficient interventions. The current investigation conducted an assessment to compare 5 error‐correction procedures that have been evaluated in the extant literature and are common in instructional practice for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Results showed that the assessment identified efficacious and efficient error‐correction procedures for all participants, and 1 procedure was efficient for 4 of the 5 participants. To examine the social validity of error‐correction procedures, participants selected among efficacious and efficient interventions in a concurrent‐chains assessment. We discuss the results in relation to prior research on error‐correction procedures and current instructional practices for learners with ASD.  相似文献

We introduce a new metric for interdisciplinarity, based on co‐author publication history. A published article that has co‐authors with quite different publication histories can be deemed relatively “interdisciplinary,” in that the article reflects a convergence of previous research in distinct sets of publication outlets. In recent work, we have shown that this interdisciplinarity metric can predict citations. Here, we show that the journal Cognitive Science tends to contain collaborations that are relatively high on this interdisciplinarity metric, at about the 80th percentile of all journals across both social and natural sciences. Following on Goldstone and Leydesdorff (2006), we describe how scientometric tools provide a valuable means of assessing the role of cognitive science in broader scientific work, and also as a tool to investigate teamwork and distributed cognition. We describe how data‐driven metrics of this kind may facilitate this exploration without relying upon rapidly changing discipline and topic keywords associated with publications.  相似文献

17 patients out of a total of 93 treated for primarily pure absence-epilepsy experienced secondary grand mal-seizures and eeg of 8 patients showed a grand mal-disposition (irregular s-w). These 25 patients, compared with the remaining 68 patients, attended more frequently a special school for mentally retarded children, their marks were worse, they left school in a lower form, and their vocational education was less qualified. 8 patients out of 65, who were primarily treated with Suxilep and without additional grand mal-remedy, experienced secondary grand mal-seizures (relative frequency 0.12). In 12 chronic cats the effects of mechanical stimulation (distention) of the gallbladder on heart rate, respiratory movements and bioelectrical activity of the cerebral cortex were studied under normal conditions and after intraperitoneal administration of atropine. In the control group without atropine a decrease or an increase of heart rate and of respiratory movements occurred, depending on stimulation intensity. These changes were independent of an activated or inactivated EKG. Behavioral arousal was not seen in every cat. After administration of atropine in doses from 0.2 to 2.0 mg per kg body weight, the changes in heart rate, respiration and EKG were suppressed or completely disappeared.  相似文献
