Prior research by the authors tested a model of factors influencing parent inclination to participate in parenting interventions. Family context, belief, attitude, and inclination to participate variables from this model were used to predict the actual participation of 1,121 families in assessment and intervention activities of a family-focused preventive intervention research project. Invitations to the project assessment and intervention components were, respectively, about 6 months and 10 months following the initiation of a telephone survey collecting predictor variable data. Logistic regression analyses examining each predictor individually showed that a number of family context, belief, attitude, and inclination variables were predictive of project participation. Subsequently, multiple logistic regressions were conducted, entering variables by blocks corresponding to theoretical model components. These analyses showed that prospectively stated inclination to participate in a parenting intervention and level of education were consistently significant predictors of both assessment participation and intervention enrollment. Implications for both research and practice are discussed. 相似文献

Abstract: Here, we focused on a load-on task to clarify the judgment mechanism for weight perception. We measured hand trajectory and surface electromyography to estimate time-varying stiffness and torque patterns in joints. Our results showed that the goal of learning motor skills under load-on tasks is to maintain the hand position, and that humans produce force with cocontraction and increasing stiffness levels according to the weight of an object. Finally, we examined whether stiffness is an effective parameter as an efferent signal for weight perception and found that stiffness plays an important role in weight perception. 相似文献

Relationships between stage of change for stress management behavior and perceived stress and coping
SATOSHI HORIUCHI AKIRA TSUDA EUIYOEN KIM KWANG‐SHIK HONG YOUNG‐SHIN PARK UICHOL KIM 《The Japanese psychological research》2010,52(4):291-297
The main aim of this study was to examine the relationships between stage of change, which was guided by the transtheoretical model, for stress management behavior and perceived stress and coping. First, we developed the Korean version of the Rhode Island Stress and Coping Inventory (RISCI). Second, we related stage of change for stress management behavior to perceived stress and coping. Based on two surveys that we conducted (n = 530 for survey 1 and n = 299 for survey 2), we developed the Korean version of the RISCI with acceptable internal consistency and criterion‐related validity against the depressive level measured using the Korean Beck Depression Inventory II. The stress score of the Korean version of the RISCI was significantly lower in maintenance than in the other stages, while the coping score was significantly higher in action and maintenance than in the first three stages (n = 804), irrespective of sex. These results provided further empirical evidence to validate stage classification in the field of stress management behavior. 相似文献
