3月10日,"道教日成立暨第十三届香港道教节开幕及文化巡游大典"在香港深水埗枫树街举行.香港特别行政区行政长官梁振英出席并亲手赠送一幅"香港道教日成立"卷轴予香港道教联合会,标志着香港道教日正式成立.

由香港道教联合会主办的庆祝香港回归祖国十五周年庙会暨第十二届道教音乐汇演于8月11至12日在香港隆重举行。国家宗教事务局副局长张乐斌、香港特别行政区民政事务局局长曾德成、中国道教协会副会长赖保荣、香港道教联合会主席汤伟奇、香港各道堂负责人、香港其他宗教的代表等1000余人出席了11日上午在维多利亚公园举行的开幕典礼。     

2015年香港道教日庆典活动举行

<正>自2013年开始,香港特区政府认许每年3月第2个星期日为香港道教日。今年是香港道教界第三次举办道教日庆典活动。3月8日,由香港道教联合会和香港啬色园联合主办的乙未年(2015)道教日庆典活动在香港红磡体育馆举行。中央人民政府驻港联络办副主任林武、香港民政事务局局长曾德成、香港立法会主席曾钰成、中国道教协会副会长黄至杰和副秘书长袁志鸿等出席庆典仪式。香港市民近万人参加活动。

访港随想

应香港华人基督教联会的邀请,中国基督教协会访港代表团一行16人于1994年1月10日至17日访问了香港的教会。访问中代表团受到了香港华人基督教联会的热情接待,并在主里与香港同工、同道有很好的交通、分享。 下面就这次访问谈一点自己的感受与大家一同分享。     

Race and the differential "power" of the MMPI.

The interpretation that blacks' tendency to score higher on MMPI clinical scales is due to educational deprivation has been challenged by research in which, when educatation was held constant, race-related differences remained. Racial differences in type of psychopathology have seldom been controlled in part research. After establishing that a grester proportion of black psychiatric patients may receive a schizophrenic diagnosis (Study 1), MMPI protocols of black and white schizophrenic and nonschizophrenic psychiatric patients were obtained. All patients had received 12 or more years of education. Schizophrenics scored significantly higher on the MMPI F and Sc scales and nonschizophrenics tended to score higher on Pd. No race-related differences were observed on any of the 11 MMPI scales considered.     

The "subliminal" versus the "subconscious" in the American acceptance of psychoanalysis, 1906-1910.

Insofar as Frederic W. H. Myers' conceptions of the "subliminal" were spread by the Boston-based "Emmanuel movement" for medically supervised religious psychotherapy (fl. 1906-1910), the movement probably did more to help than to hinder American acceptance of Freudian ideas. Certainly, many academic psychologists' conceptions of the "unconscious" and "subconscious" were a hindrance.     

The "consciousness problem" is not the problem.

Although the concept of consciousness is not necessary for the behavioral scientist, it is closely related to a number of psychological concepts that are generally believed to be necessary. Consciousness may be defined as the very short-term memory of a just-completed perceptual act. It may thus be understood as a psychological consequence of psychological antecedents. The question of how brain processes result in consciousness is a misleading one and should be replaced by questions concerning the relationships between the brain and perception, memory, and the other psychological processes that precede consciousness.     

Validation of graphoanalysis by "global" or "holistic" method.

Graphoanalysis is the most systematically developed and best researched of all methods of handwriting analysis (genetically called graphology). This is a projective expressive movement that is neither better nor more poorly validated than most projective techniques as a means of personality assessment, which is inadequate because their subjectivity makes statistical study difficult. With all projective techniques "sign" or trait validation has been minimal, and the best validation has come from "global" or "holistic" methods. The present study presents a paradigm for the latter type of approach to handwriting analysis, using a matching technique with probabilities of 1/5, wherein five subjects were matched by people who knew them to one of five blind Graphoanalyses of the subjects' writing. This design is herein replicated five times, with total data significantly different from chance expectation (p less than .001), supporting the hypothesis that it is possible to evaluate personality through analysis of handwriting.
