While the AI contains 13 common factors and the CCI contains 11 common factors, these factors together span only 22 dimensions. The lost dimensions may be associated with simple combinations of certain AI factors, and apparently result from differential tendencies of certain personalities to choose different colleges. One dimension of choice lies in the realm of academic interests and another in the realm of social relationships. In contrast with one another, the CCI is primarily a measure of college environment independent of the personality of the respondent, while the AI is primarily a measure of the individual reporting about himself.  相似文献

This study analysed the way 20 managers in the information technology industry in Australia viewed their lives, and identified two dimensions of central importance cutting across the work, family and leisure spheres encompassed by them. One dimension was positively loaded towards activities which were challenging, creative and under the individual's control. These activities were enjoyable, and included examples such as consulting with clients, creating new business, and communicating and dealing with others, whether at work or at home. The opposite pole of this dimension involved activities such as completing paperwork, general administration, doing the shopping, and disciplining the children. Such activities were seen as necessary, routine or stressful, and were generally disliked. The other dimension dealt with activities which, at one pole, were emotionally involving or involved moral standards, and included examples such as attending meetings, doing things as a family, and settling disputes, either at work or at home. At the other pole were activities which were usually done alone and involved no sense of social or moral obligation. Leisure activities typically fell into this category. The results indicated that these managers generally pursued a lifestyle which was seen to be non-stressful, and one valued for the challenge, enjoyment, freedom of choice and personal control which it offered.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to assess the dimensionality of attitude toward quantitative concepts. Subjects were 311 graduate students. The instrument employed was a semantic differential consisting of six quantitative concepts and 14 evaluative scales. The concepts were: Algebra, Statistics, Mathematics, Numbers, Calculations, and Formulas. An obliquely rotated principal factor analysis of the data yielded two categories of interpretable factors: (1) factors defined by all scales within one quantitative concept, and (2) factors defined by a sub-set of scales across quantitative concepts.  相似文献

Respondents consisted of 124 working managers (62 men, 62 women) whose needs for Achievement (nAch), Affiliation (nAff), and Power (nPwr) were tested using two types of Thematic Apperception Tests, male-oriented and balanced as to sex. Results of a two-way ANOVA indicate that women managers have a higher nAch, a not significantly different nAff, and a higher nPwr than managerial men. Changing social values as well as the obstacles women face in first getting managerial jobs and then having to overcome sex-role conflicts-all possibly channel a specific type of woman into these managerial positions, as other factors act to select men.  相似文献

This study attempts to develop a measure of the attributions of the term feminist . Seven hundred and sixty-eight undergraduate students (361 males and 407 females) completed a 91-item semantic differential test relevant to the label feminist . Principal components analysis with orthogonal rotation produced five factors indicating that when the term feminist is used, attributions of General Evaluation, Behavioral Characteristics, Political Orientation, Sexual Preference, and Gender Classification are likely to be made. Factor analysis of split halves of the sample shows an internal replication and consequently, a stability of the obtained factor structure. This study presents students' judgments on specific items defining these factors, thereby indicating the evaluative associations of the term.  相似文献

通过对18名家族企业高层管理者的关键行为事件访谈,建立了家族企业高层管理者胜任特征模型,初步结论是:(1)采用BEI关键事件访谈方法揭示高层管理者胜任特征模型,胜任特征的出现频次和平均等级是较为稳定的指标,最高等级分数受到了访谈长度的影响。研究还发现,胜任特征的平均等级、最高等级都能区分绩效优异和绩效一般的家族企业高层管理者。(2)我国家族企业高层管理者的胜任特征模型包括: 威权导向、主动性、捕捉机遇、信息寻求、组织意识、指挥、仁慈关怀、自我控制、自信、自主学习、影响他人等11项胜任特征。其中,与国外企业高层管理者通用胜任特征模型的9项相一致,与国有企业高层管理者的通用胜任特征模型的5项相一致。而威权导向、仁慈关怀是我国家族企业高层管理者独有的胜任特征。  相似文献

采用问卷法以446名大学生为被试,运用探索性因素分析探讨了不同产品类别(牙膏、运动鞋和随身听)的品牌形象的构成因素,然后以整体分配法确定了各因素的权重。结果表明:(1)品牌形象是由若干因素构成的有组织、有序的系统,这些因素分别属于功能成分和意义成分。(2)不同产品类别的品牌形象构成有共性,也有个性。(3)低外显产品的功能成分比高外显产品的功能成分重要。  相似文献

Defences of inference to the best explanation (IBE) frequently associate IBE with scientific realism, the idea that it is reasonable to believe our best scientific theories. I argue that this linkage is unfortunate. IBE does not warrant belief, since the fact that a theory is the best available explanation does not show it to be (even probably) true. What IBE does warrant is acceptance: taking a proposition as a premise in theoretical and/or practical reasoning. We ought to accept our best scientific theories since they are the theories that are most likely to lead to the goal of science, which is that of knowledge. In support of this claim I invoke Bill Lycan's Panglossian reflections regarding Mother Nature. 1  相似文献

An organisational questionnaire based on Likert's eight organisational variables was completed by samples of Filipino (n= 51) and Hong Kong Chinese (n= 71) bilingual managers under conditions designed to inculcate either an English response set or a Chinese or Filipino response set. Results indicated that apparently equivelant questions generated negative responses in the English response conditions and positive responses in the Filipino and Chinese response conditions. 对北京市各城区共2598名2—6岁儿童母亲的教育观念进行测查,探讨其结构组成和可能的影响因素。结果发现,母亲教育观念具有一定的整体构成和较稳定因素成分,主要由儿童发展现、对儿童发展的期望和儿童教育观三维度、十八因素构成;各维度间相互作用、相互影响;儿童年龄、性别、母亲受教育水平、职业等对母亲教育观念具有显著的影响。  相似文献

Research on the factor structure of the Bem Sex-Role Inventory generally indicates the existence of a number of smaller factors in addition to a major Masculine factor and a major Feminine factor. This has led to a suggestion that contrary to Bern's proposal, the scale is multidimensional. The present study attempted to examine further the factor structure of BSRI when applied to a non-Western sample. The results of a factor analysis appear to confirm the suggestion that BSRI is multidimensional. There are also indications that both the Masculine and the Feminine scales have high internal consistencies which can be improved further if certain items were removed.  相似文献
