世纪之交中国政府理论研究中的几个问题

政府理论是政治学的重要组成部分.在新中国政治学的发展史上,把政府作为相对独立的研究对象,并逐步形成政府理论或政府学,还只是近20年来的事,目前尚未形成具有中国特色的政府理论体系.政府理论研究面临的问题很多,本文从政治学的政府或广义的政府与行政学的政府或狭义的政府相结合、统一的层面上,着力提出政府理论的中国化、政府的人民性、政府的能动性、政府的工作重心和政府的可持续发展等问题.认为处于世纪之交与历史性十字路口的中国,应当关注、研究、回答和解决这些问题.

Problems in the Theory of Democratic Authority

This paper identifies strands of reasoning underlying several theories of democratic authority. It shows why each of them fails to adequately explain or justify it. Yet, it does not claim (per philosophical anarchism) that democratic authority cannot be justified. Furthermore, it sketches an argument for a perspective on the justification of democratic authority that would effectively respond to three problems not resolved by alternative theories—the problem of the expert, the problem of specificity, and the problem of deference. Successfully resolving these problems is at least evidence for the viability of a justification of democratic authority. This perspective integrates procedural concerns with those about the quality of democratic outcomes. It shows that democratic authority, if there is such a thing, requires reliable democratic procedures as the only sort citizens could rationally accept.     

The Internal and External Problems of String Theory: A Philosophical View

String theory is at the moment the only advanced approach to a unification of all interactions, including gravity. But, in spite of the more than 30 years of its existence, it does not make any empirically testable predictions, and it is completely unknown which physically interpretable principles could form the basis of string theory. At the moment, “string theory” is no theory at all, but rather a labyrinthic structure of mathematical procedures and intuitions. The only motivations for string theory consist in the mutual incompatibility of the standard model of quantum field theory and of general relativity as well as in the metaphysics of the unification program of physics, aimed at a final unified theory of all interactions, including gravity. The article gives a perspective on the problems leading to and resulting from this situation.

劳动价值论与生产要素论的难题解述

根据江总书记《在庆祝中国共产党成立八十周年大会上的讲话》中提出“深化对社会主义社会劳动和劳动价值理论的研究和认识”的要求 ,本文从对长期以来一直争论不休的“是劳动创造价值还是效用决定价值与各生产要素共同创造价值”问题的解析 ,通过对由两种根本对立的价值观导致的悖论的解述 ,对目前学术界几种观点的解析、对马克思关于生产劳动概念界定的解述 ,以及对生产要素是否创造价值的解析 ,论述了我们应如何针对我国在社会主义市场经济条件下所面临的重大理论问题与现实问题 ,科学地看待劳动价值论与生产要素论 ,深化对马克思的劳动价值论的研究与认识     

关于数学应用题心理表征策略的新理论

本文主要阐述了数学应用题心理表征中的两种策略一直接转换策略和问题模型策略,介绍了两种策略的认知过程,并对两种策略的区分方法进行了探讨,最后总结说明了研究数学心理表征在理论和实践中的意义。     

The Relevance of Social Theory in the Practice of Environmental Management

In this paper I argue that the dominance of certain paradigms and theories on policies can have an influence on the value added by impact assessments. A link exists between paradigms and theories and policies and consequently the practices humans develop to tackle real world problems. I also argue that different types of thinking (contained in paradigms and theories) need to be integrated, at least at the scientific level, to enhance our understanding of social phenomena. This in turn can have a positive influence on policy processes that follow impact assessment recommendations. I am not arguing for the adoption of theoretical positions by practitioners, Instead, I contend that if impact assessments are informed by a variety of paradigms and theories, the policy practitioner might have a better understanding of the issue and the moral choices he or she needs to make. I will highlight the connection between theory and policies with practical examples from the social impact assessment of the De Hoop Dam, which was constructed on the Steelpoort River. I also argue for an integration of different theories to give a deeper understanding of real world problems.     

Accounting for the Data: Intuitions in Moral Theory Selection

Reflective equilibrium is often credited with extending the idea of accounting for the data from its familiar home in the sciences to the realm of moral philosophy. But careful consideration of the main concepts of this idea—the data to be accounted for and the kind of accounting it is appropriate to expect of a moral theory—leads to a revised understanding of the “accounting for the data” perspective as it applies to the discipline of moral theory selection. This revised understanding is in tension with reflective equilibrium and actually provides more support for the alternative method of moral theory selection that has been termed ‘practical equilibrium’.
