刻在石头上的历史 宗教碑刻的魅力

一碑刻,泛指镌刻有文字的历代碑、碣、造像碑、经幢、摩崖题记、画像石等,是历史文化的重要载体。碑石有灵,石墨镌华。自东汉末年以来,中国碑刻的典型形制开始确定,碑刻逐渐成为中国石雕艺术中最具代表性的艺术形式之一。由于特殊的制作和材质,碑刻是保存历史文献真实可靠的第一手材料,成为历史的见证。同时,碑刻具有丰厚的艺术性:除了最引人瞩目的碑刻书法艺术之外,古代工匠们广泛地运用石雕、线刻等各种技法,还创造了种类繁多、博大精深、而且传承悠久的图式造型艺术。     

Stone,Ken, Practicing Safer Texts: Food,Sex and Bible in Queer Perspective

Abstract

The past twenty years have witnessed much discussion about the place of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered (LGBT) people in the Church, particularly through two sets of debates: on whether and under what circumstances LGBT people should be ordained, and on whether and under what circumstances LGBT people should have their marital unions blessed. The past twenty years have also witnessed the creation of various liturgical materials responsive to the needs of LGBT people, particularly for events that are crucial to an LGBT person's life and faith but for which there were no existing rites in public worship. However, by concentrating only on the occasional and extraordinary events in a person and a community's life as "queer worship" (with its double sense of both "unusual worship" and "worship for LGBT people"), we are neglecting the myriad ways in which day-to-day ordinary worship is, and is not, queer. This article therefore examines the ways in which heteronormativity and the demand for "covering" can create tacit prohibitions around worship for LGBT Christians. Arguing for the inherent queerness of Christian worship, it suggests practical ways in which LGBT people's lives can more fully integrate into a community's liturgical life, and vice versa.     

Nietzsche on Rock and Stone: The Dead World,Dance and Flight

Abstract

Although images of rock and stone play a significant role in Nietzsche’s thinking, from his earliest writings to his ideas in Thus Spoke Zarathustra about will to power and eternal return, this stratum of his imagery has not been much discussed. Initially rocks come across as ‘witnesses of prehistory that are eager to acquire language’, as well as border markers of, and means of entry to, the ‘dead world’, or inanimate realm. Later, stone becomes an image of the raw material that we have to work if we want to make something of our lives by fashioning them, which we can do with all strata of the soul except the deepest. At that level granite signifies what is unalterable, being the sedimentation of a very long past, and so rock comes to be associated with the past that is recalcitrant in the face of will. But when will can will as will to power, stone takes part in the play that is the consummate affirmation of life. It also has to be a dance, a dance on the force-field of will to power, overcoming for the moment the Spirit of Heaviness by lifting lightly from the earth. And finally flight: when ‘the boundary stones themselves fly into the air’, with a few of us shifting along with them.     

Discrete Dualities for Double Stone Algebras

We present two discrete dualities for double Stone algebras. Each of these dualities involves a different class of frames and a different definition of a complex algebra. We discuss relationships between these classes of frames and show that one of them is a weakening of the other. We propose a logic based on double Stone algebras.
