文章综述了动态系统研究方法在社会心理学中的应用。社会心理学现象具有复杂性、时间性和动态性特点,动态分析方法如动态系统行为模式确定、动态系统稳定性分析、人工神经网络和元细胞自动机等计算机模型的应用,可以有效的捕捉到人类思维和行为的这些特点。目前动态分析方法已经在社会心理学的动态属性研究中取得了一定的进展。  相似文献

首先探讨了对社会不稳定因素预警的需要,以及社会预警系统对国家公共政策制定和行政决策的意义。社会预警系统是一种系统的社会态度调查网络,通过对公众对社会事物的态度调查,预见其可能的行为反应,将不稳定事件化解于未然。然后,介绍了国外承担社会预警职能的研究机构的研究实践。最后,讨论了社会预警研究两个重要的方法论问题:态度与行为反应的关系,调查抽样问题。  相似文献

We introduce the topic of Indian/US collaboration in studying religion and spirituality (R/S), providing both historical and philosophical context. A fully in-depth and comprehensive study of R/S will require taking into account three potential types and sources of knowledge: (1) theoretically and intellectually oriented knowledge as exemplified by William James; (2) empirically oriented knowledge as exemplified by Gordon Allport; and (3) experience- and realization-derived knowledge based on reports from eminent spiritual figures. We sketch the distinct but mutually informative challenges of clinical and epistemic integration. We suggest several topics for future collaboration, arguing that the most comprehensive study of R/S will require combining the western attention to empirical knowledge with the Indian psychology movement’s attention to realization-derived knowledge. Suggested topics include processes of learning from spiritual exemplars and teachers; health effects from engagement in Hindu or other Indian religious practice; psychological and health effects of specific spiritual practices; the importance and influence of the focus used in meditation; the effects of japam, Ramnam, or similar repeated short prayers; how diverse spiritual practices affect mindfulness; and the nature and means of fostering skills for living in a religiously plural society.  相似文献

The earth cannot support humanity's increasing population and consumption. Concerned scientists and citizens are therefore wondering how we might work toward a sustainable, survivable human future. Sustainability involves increased technological efficiency and agricultural productivity, but also incentives and attitudes that moderate consumption. Social psychology contributes to changing attitudes and behavior with evidence that a) materialism exacts psychic as well as environmental costs, and b) economic growth has failed to improve human morale. Two principles-the adaptation level phenomenon and social comparison-help explain why materialism and increasing affluence fail to satisfy.  相似文献

Several questionnaire, interview, and observational studies on a university campus revealed that students believe cramming is most useful in courses which required considerable memorization and is least useful when individual thought or creativity are called for. About two-thirds of the students questioned were dissatisfied with their study habits and there was more dissatisfaction among students doing poorly. Examination time is stressful and disturbances of sleep, eating, and general body condition are widespread. Such disturbances are proportionately greater among poor students. Cramming must be considered as an adaptation to a particular sort of evaluational system and cannot be understood without reference to the student role.  相似文献

Forty years after the founding of community psychology, we have yet to deliver on the full promissory note of our birth, where we were poised to address social problems, social settings, and social change. Despite some success, we are at risk for selling ourselves short, for dying out in the discipline of psychology, and for failing to improve the common good. Given changes in demographics and in the safety net, the problem of entrenched disparities is even more urgent—in perception of the other, in the provision of opportunities for development, and in outcomes. Envisioning and enabling will be critical as we work with unified purpose toward a cumulative science where failure will not be predictable.An earlier version of this paper was presented at the mid-west ECO Conference in Community Psychology held in Saugatuck, Michigan, October 2004.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The stereotype content model (SCM) posits that warmth and competence are the key components underlying judgments about social groups. Because competence can encompass different components (e.g., intelligence, talent) different group members may be perceived to be competent for different reasons. Therefore, we believe it may be important to specify the type of competence being assessed when examining perceptions of groups that are positively stereotyped (i.e., Black athletes and musical Blacks). Consistent with the SCM, these subgroups were perceived as high in competence-talent but not in competence-intelligence and low in warmth. Both the intelligence and talent frame of competence fit in the SCM's social structural hypothesis.  相似文献

As students entered a room to hear a pro-Israel or a pro-Arab lecture, they were asked to indicate whether they sympathized with the Israelis, the Arabs, or neither side in the Middle East conflict. A greater number of students inclined to support the Israeli position attended the lecture by the pro-Israel speaker, whereas more pro-Arab students attended the lecture by the pro-Arab speaker.  相似文献
