Using data obtained by Project TALENT, a nationwide study of high school youth, the authors describe the junior college student. The junior college, non-college, and college students have been compared along six measures of information and eight of general aptitude and ability. Through the use of a six-group discriminant analysis, it was found that junior college students have a tendency to be more like non-college students in terms of ability. However, sex differences on the ability measures were greater than the differences among the three college-planning groups. Although the junior college student looks more like the non-college student in terms of ability, he appears to be more like the college student in terms of socio-economic factors.  相似文献

The chaos theory of careers (CTC; Pryor & Bright, 2011 ) has emerged as a career development theory to describe the reality of career development and account for the changing nature of work in the 21st century. Integrating CTC into a coherent framework accessible to practitioners is an ongoing process. In recent years, CTC has gained traction within some college career centers. Although techniques and interventions have been discussed to address some of the primary issues, no overarching framework has been conceptualized. This article proposes a model to conceptualize CTC in an accessible framework for college career centers, students, and beyond.  相似文献

利用信号检测论的方法对130名大学生的国家科技成就刻板印象进行研究。结果发现,被试对中国近现代及当代科技成就判断标准的自然对数值显著高于对中国古代、美国近现代及当代科技成就判断标准的自然对数值(p<0.001),同时,被试对中国古代、美国近现代及当代科技成就的判断标准自然对数值没有显著差异(p>0.05),从而证明了大学生群体中明显存在着国家科技成就刻板印象。进一步的含义表明,大学生对中国古代科技成就依然保持绝对的自信,对中国近现代及当代科技成就的自卑并没有显著改变。在被试对2005年中国科技竞争力在全球的排名进行估计时,高估的人数显著多于低估的人数(p<0.001),从而表明,大学生对中国当前及未来科技成就的自信心开始建立。  相似文献

聋人大学生在适应方面存在明显不足,这些适应问题既有和健听大学生群体相同的适应问题,又有一些聋人群体存在的特殊适应问题。然而,目前尚无适用于我国聋人大学生适应力测评的标准化工具。本研究以872名聋人大学生为对象,通过访谈和问卷调查,以《中国大学生适应量表(CCSAS)》为基础,基于聋人大学生群体进行了修订,建立《聋人大学生适应量表》。结果表明:(1)问卷包含4个维度,分别是学习适应、人际关系适应、择业适应、情绪适应,共由19个项目组成;(2)修订后的问卷,项目与量表总分相关系数在0.42~0.60之间,项目区分度指标良好。量表内部一致性信度为0.90;量表总分分半信度0.85,量表信、效度指标良好,《聋人大学生适应量表》达到心理测量学指标。  相似文献

本研究采用探索性因素分析和验证性因素分析技术对大学生孤独感结构进行研究,尝试建立一个本土化的大学生孤独感结构模型。探索性因素分析抽取出四个维度:社会孤独感、人际孤独感、自我孤独感、发展孤独感,可解释总体变异的51.141%,验证性因素分析表明这是一个比较理想的因素结构。问卷的内部一致性系数为0.912,重测信度为0.863。构想效度也达到了心理测量学的要求。  相似文献

本研究以少数民族大学生为研究对象,使用自我同一性状态客观测量的标准化问卷,对少数民族大学生的自我同一性发展规律进行分析,研究结果发现:(1)少数民族大学生自我同一性的发展是一个逐渐变化的过程,从一年级到三年级呈波浪式的发展趋势,二年级的自我同一性发展状况最好,并且在人际领域和意识领域的发展形态略不同。(2)相比男生,女生更容易形成同一性前闭状态,并且更容易在人际领域处于同一性混乱状态。文科学生较理科学生更多处于同一性前闭状态。(3)少数民族大学生在自我同一性获得和自我同一性混乱状态存在显著的年级差异。  相似文献

Before discussing how to innovate the study of career development using insights from life-span psychology and life course sociology, researchers might benefit from reconsidering whether they are studying careers or studying vocational behavior. While the word “career” seems ubiquitous in vocational psychology research, there are important differences between the study of vocational behavior, occupational roles, and career development. In this article, I urge researchers to (a) reconsider the meaning of career and research on career development, (b) adopt prospective, longitudinal research designs, and (c) concentrate first on processes of development and then on the content of careers. Considering these suggestions may ready vocational psychology for true innovations such as studying human development through work and relationships.  相似文献

This study tests the mediating effect of the quality of college life (QCL) in the student satisfaction and student loyalty relationship. QCL refers to the degree of need satisfaction and the experiences that create a positive affect throughout college life. The QCL of students is conceptualized as a higher order construct that is composed of need satisfaction and affect balance. It has been hypothesized that student satisfaction with university services has a significant impact on QCL, which in turn positively influences student loyalty. The results from the survey of 228 college students largely supported the model. Both the managerial and policy implications of this study are discussed.

研究探讨了普通高校辅导员的工作压力、核心自我评价、职业认同和工作满意度的关系。研究发现:(1)辅导员的工作压力、职业认同和工作满意度与专业教师存在差异;(2)工作压力、核心自我评价、职业认同影响着辅导员的工作满意度;(3)核心自我评价调节着工作压力和职业认同的关系;工作压力经由职业认同影响着工作满意度,且这一中介效应受到核心自我评价的调节作用。  相似文献

文章探讨了大学生自我同一性状态与人格变量之间的关系。通过相关分析发现,不同的自我同一性状态与不同的人格特征相联系,呈现不同的人格特征,四种自我同一性状态在每一人格维度上存在一定的差异,尤其是在成熟、高级的自我同一性和低级的自我同一性之间人格特征的差异更大。研究进一步证明自我同一性的形成是大学生发展追求的核心主题,它标志着人格的完善。  相似文献

Reliability and construct validity of the 11-item College Student Stress Scale were investigated with exploratory (N = 273) and confirmatory factor analyses (N = 185) in undergraduate college students. Two factors were observed; however, reliability of the 3-item factor was too low and one item failed to load on either factor. A 7-item measure (Factor 1) had acceptable reliability (.81) and good convergence with the Perceived Stress Scale. This measure was significantly correlated with Neuroticism, Test Anxiety, and Self-efficacy for Learning, but not Social Desirability or age.  相似文献

Two studies were carried out in an effort to develop and evaluate an instrument designed to assess suicidal risk in college students. Study 1 describes the development of the College Student Reasons for Living Inventory (CSRLI), an instrument that measures the extent to which college students place importance on various reasons for living even when contemplating suicide. The impetus for the current study was provided by Linehan et al., who in 1983 developed the Reasons for Living Inventory for use with adults. In the current study college students generated a series of 84 "reasons for living" items, which were reduced through factor analysis to a final inventory of 46 items. Six factors were extracted as follows: Survival and Coping Beliefs, College and Future-Related Concerns, Moral Objections, Responsibility to Friends and Family, Fear of Suicide, and Fear of Social Disapproval. Five of these factors reflect the same basic themes contained in the Linehan et al. (1983) study. The sixth factor (College and Future-Related Concerns) appears to be unique to college students. Linehan et al.'s Child-Related Concerns factor expectedly did not appear in this college sample. In Study 2 initial evaluation of the CSRLI was carried out through the use of correlational, confirmatory factor, and discriminant analyses. Results indicate that the CSRLI holds promise as an instrument to predict suicidal risk among college students.  相似文献
