Group psychotherapy with adolescents: An integrative approach

Conclusion This paper has attempted to convey a complex strategy and rationale for conducting group psychotherapy with a specific population. A variety of techniques have been integrated into an approach designed for adolescent groups. Modifications of this basic approach would be readily applicable in a variety of settings (e.g., school counseling programs, in-patient, facilities, private therapy).     

Group analytic therapy with schizophrenic outpatients

This paper describes a model for group analytic psychotherapy with patients who have been psychotic, namely, schizophrenics and manic depressives. The groups are run on the group centered principles of S. H. Foulkes. They are continuous, slow-open groups, in line with these patients' needs for long-term therapy. A theory is proposed which justifies treating these patients in group-centered groups despite their great dependency needs. Group therapy with friends of an adolescent suicide

This paper describes a group of adolescents who met with a therapist after a friend had committed suicide. The purpose of the group was to discuss the feelings engendered by the suicide. The setting up of the group, an explanation of the victim's difficulties, and issues dealt with by the group are described.
