ADAPTATION AND INTRAINDIVIDUAL VARIATION IN SALES OUTCOMES: EXPLORING THE INTERACTIVE EFFECTS OF PERSONALITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL OPPORTUNITY 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
Many practices in the field of industrial-organizational psychology assume that individual performance is stable across time; yet, little is actually known about the extent to which performance varies within individuals. We specifically address this issue by exploring the longitudinal influence of a situational opportunity (referrals received from the central office) on intraindividual performance outcomes of sales representatives. We also explore Conscientiousness and Openness to Experience as traits that explain variation in adaptation to changes in referrals. Our results show that more weekly variation in individual performance resides within individuals than between individuals. A majority of this variance is explained by the situational opportunity of referrals. Furthermore, the positive relationship between referrals and outcomes is stronger for sales representatives high on Conscientiousness, but weaker for representatives high on Openness to Experience. 相似文献

A total of 366 school children were rated by 12 teachers in respect of 11 personality traits. In a laboratory experiment, a group of 10 teachers estimated the degree of perceived similarity between the same traits. In a second laboratory experiment, estimates were obtained of the frequency with which the traits occur together. It was found that similarity of traits was proportional to the squared coefficient of inter-trait ccmelation. A similar relation was demonstrated for estimated co-frequency and inter-trait corre- lation. Furthermore, factor analyses of the three sets of data revealed essentially the same three factors of Intelligence, Sociability and Dependability. The results are discussed within a psychophysical framework regarding the subjects rated and traits estimated as stimuli in a person-perception experiment. 相似文献

Psychol ., 1968, 9, 3–44.—Sixtyeight psychotic patients tested with the meta-contrast technique (MCT) were divided in six sub-groups according to focal symptoms. Many sub-groups clearly differed with respect to MCT results. In the schizophrenic groups serial discontinuity due to regression was particularly prominent; in the paranoid, non-schizophrenic groups, marked subliminal influence on the frame percept plus other signs of projection. 本研究运用问卷法“YG人格测验”、作业法“内田-克雷佩林心理测验”和投射法“色塔人格测验”对126名违法犯罪者进行了测试。结果表明,作业法和投射法人格测验二者相互补充和印证,揭示了违法犯罪者人格的某些特点,问卷法人格测验的结果与前者不一致,应该运用多种方法对违法犯罪者的人格进行研究。 相似文献

采用NEO—FFI简式对593名20至94岁成年人进行了个性特征的年龄差异研究。被试分为青年(20~39岁)、中年(40~59岁)、老年(60~74岁)和老老年(75岁及以上)4组,文化程度均初中以上。结果表明:问卷表再测信度合格,自评与亲友评定间有显著相关;除开放性特征(O)随增龄下降,即青年组较年长三组更加开放外,神经质(N)、内外向(E)、和谐性(A)和认真负责(C)量表分均无明显年龄差异;两性个性特点比较,女性N分及A分均明显高于男性;除年龄和性别因素外,健康善对N、E、C分,文化程度对N和O分,职业对E分均有影响。 相似文献

采调查分析法,对上海的股票投资者进行了有关投资行为特点和个性心理牲方面的调查研究。结果表明:投资行为表现为中小投资者众多,资产组合单一等特点;经因素分析发现,影响股票投资绩效的主要维度是性格品质、能力、社会经济环境;气质是影响投资行为的一个重要因素,但对投资绩效没有影响。最后,文中对股票投资者提出了一些心理对策。 相似文献
