Two-component schedules of differential-reinforcement-of-low-rate were presented, where the contingencies specified separately two minimum interresponse times, t1 and t2, required for reinforcement, depending on whether the interresponse time was initiated by, in one case, a reinforced response (t1) or, in the other, a nonreinforced response (t2). A distinctive pattern of responding developed on each of the two contingencies. Duration of an interresponse time approximated t1 when the t1 contingency was in effect, and t2 when the t2 contingency was in effect. This relationship persisted even when t2 was shorter than t1, and responding at a higher rate on the t1 contingency would have greatly increased the rate of reinforcement. Increasing the value of t2 resulted in both longer interresponse times on the t1 contingency, and a higher probability of a response-burst on those occasions when the contingency switched from t1 to t2. The results indicated that both reinforced and nonreinforced responses functioned as discriminative events in determining the duration of following interresponse times.  相似文献

The microstructure of interfacial defects in YBa2Cu3O7-δ/SrTiO3(0?0?1) heterostructures has been investigated by aberration-corrected ultrahigh-resolution electron microscopy. We determine that c-axis-oriented YBa2Cu3O7-δ thin films epitaxially grow on SrTiO3(0?0?1) with two types of interface structure. The coalescence of nucleation sites with different types of interface structure leads to the formation of antiphase domain boundaries in YBa2Cu3O7-δ thin films, which terminate at planar faults with different configurations near the interface. Stand-off misfit dislocations are observed and the dislocation core structure is explored. Based on the interface structure and interfacial defects, the initial growth mode of YBa2Cu3O7-δ thin films on SrTiO3(0?0?1) is discussed.  相似文献

In order to substantiate recent theorization on the possible links between the causes of the attentional blink and the psychological refractory period phenomena (e.g., Jolicoeur, 1999a), four experiments are reported in which two target stimuli, T1 and T2, were presented in different modalities at varying stimulus onset asynchronies (SOAs), with each stimulus being associated with a distinct task, Task1 and Task2. In Experiment 1, T1 was a tone, and Task1 was a speeded vocal response based on pitch. T2 was a brief press applied to either of two distal fingerpads, and Task2 was a speeded manual response based on tactile stimulus location. In Experiment 2, the same T1 as that used in Experiment 1 was presented, and in Task1 the subject either made a speeded vocal response based on pitch or ignored T1. T2 was a masked tactile stimulation, and Task2 was an unspeeded manual discrimination of the tactile stimulation location. This Task2 was maintained in Experiments 3 and 4. The auditory T1 was replaced with a white digit embedded in a rapid serial visualization presentation of a stream of black letters, and in Task1 the subject either made an unspeeded decision based on T1 identity or ignored T1. In all the experiments, the results showed an SOA-locked impairment in Task2. As SOA was decreased, reaction times in the speeded Task2 of Experiment 1 increased, and accuracy in the unspeeded Task2 of Experiments 2–4 decreased. The SOA-locked impairment was almost eliminated when T1 could be ignored or was absent. The results are discussed in terms of central processing limitations as the cause of such effects.  相似文献

Epitaxial BaTiO3 thin films grown on MgO-buffered R-plane-cut Al2O3 substrates show a non-uniform distribution of planar defects. Transmission electron microscopy allows the determination of the distributions of planar defects with respect to the Al2O3 substrate. The BaTiO3 film, the MgO buffer and the Al2O3 substrate have an orientation relationship of [100]BaTiO3//[100]MgO//[1120]Al2O3, (010)BaTiO3//(010)MgO//(1104)Al2O3 and (001)BaTiO3//(001)MgO// ≈ (1102)Al2O3 (about 5°; deviation). Under the above relationship, most of the {111} stacking faults occur on (111) and (111) planes, that is two of four sets of {111}BaTiO3, whereas cracks in the BaTiO3 film (and MgO buffer) are situated on the (100) planes. The anisotropic distribution of planar defects is regarded as a consequence of an anisotropic stress in the films generated during their fabrication.  相似文献

The influences of doping elements (Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Ta, Cr, Mo, W and Al) on the heats of formation of Nb, Nb5Si3 and Nb3Si have been studied using first-principles pseudopotential plane-wave method based on density functional theory. Site preferences of dopants in Nb5Si3 and Nb3Si intermetallics are first determined by comparing the heats of formation of the systems with different site occupations of the doping atoms. The partitionings of dopants between the equilibrium phases Nb and Nb5Si3 of Nb–Si in situ composites are then discussed and compared with experimental results. Phase partitioning behaviours of the alloying elements are found to depend strongly on the number of their valence electrons. By calculating the enthalpy of reaction regarding the eutectoid decomposition of Nb3Si phase, we conclude that Ta is a Nb3Si stabiliser while other dopants destabilise Nb3Si at the investigated concentration.  相似文献

La2 Zr2 O7 (LZO)-based pyrochlore islands were grown on a Y2 O3 -stabilized ZrO2 (YSZ) (001) single-crystal surface by the reaction between La2O3 vapour and the crystal. A network of interfacial edge dislocations with line directions [100] and [010] and Burgers vectors ( as/2)[101] and ( as/2)[011] respectively ( as being the lattice parameter of the YSZ) was observed at the moving LZO-YSZ reaction front. The interface-parallel component of the Burgers vectors accommodates the LZO-YSZ lattice mismatch of +5.0%, while the perpendicular component causes a slight tilt of the LZO lattice with respect to the YSZ lattice. The dislocation half-loops nucleate and glide on inclined {101} planes at the edges of the four corners of the growing islands.  相似文献

Mixed-metal oxides with the composition Y3Sc x Ga5? x O12 (x?=?2.0, 2.1, 2.2, 2.25, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, and 3.0) have been prepared by an aqueous sol–gel method. The effects of scandium substitution on the garnet phase formation were studied by IR spectroscopy and X-ray powder diffraction (XRD). The XRD data indicate that single-phase Y3Sc x Ga5? x O12 ceramic samples were obtained for x?=?2.0, 2.1, 2.2, 2.25, 2.3, and 2.4. The results also show that the formation of Y3Sc x Ga5? x O12 garnets depends on the molar ratio of scandium and gallium in the investigated composition, and consequently on the mean cationic radius at the Al3+ sites. The variation of lattice parameters for the Y3Sc x Ga5? x O12 phases with different x is reported.  相似文献

Synthesis of phase-pure cubic and monoclinic Y2O3 nanoparticles (16–90?nm) was achieved in a gas-phase flame process. The effect of process parameters on the crystal structure of the Y2O3 nanoparticles was systematically investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Fuel gases, H2 or C2H4, at various flow rates, two yttrium precursors, an oxidant stream with varying degrees of N2 or Ar dilution and different burner diameters were used to examine the effects of chemical atmosphere, flame temperature, residence time and precursor concentration on the crystal structure of the synthesized Y2O3 nanoparticles. Regardless of the other process parameters, at diluent/O2 ratios of 0.25 or lower, monoclinic Y2O3 nanoparticles were obtained, whereas at diluent/O2 ratios of 1 or higher, cubic Y2O3 nanoparticles were obtained. A lower diluent/O2 ratio was related to higher flame temperature. Thermodynamic analyses suggest that high temperatures likely favour the formation of monoclinic Y2O3 nanoparticles in this flame process.  相似文献

Pigeons were trained on three three-item lists (List 1: A1 → B1 → C1; List 2: A2 → B2 → C2; List 3: A3 → B3 → C3). After sessions in which any one of the three lists could be presented on a trial, derived-maintained list and derived-changed list probe trials were introduced. The derived list probe trials were composed of three items, one drawn from each of the training lists. On derived-maintained probe trials, each item was in the same ordinal position it occupied during training (e.g., A3 → B1 → C2). On derived-changed probe trials, items that occupied the second and third position during training were exchanged (e.g., A2 → C3 → B1). The performance of subjects on derived-maintained probe trials was significantly above chance and no different to that observed on the training lists. In contrast, subjects’ performance on derived-changed probe trials was significantly below chance. To our knowledge, this is the first study that has demonstrated pigeons are able to learn and retain multiple three-item lists. In addition, subjects’ performance on the derived-maintained probe trials suggests that they acquire knowledge of each list item’s ordinal position when learning multiple lists.  相似文献

This article describes the influence of microstructure on the dielectric and piezoelectric properties of isovalent- donor- and acceptor-modified lead lanthanum zirconium titanate (PLZT) ceramics. The ceramic compositions, with formula: [Pb0.954La0.016Ba0.01Sr0.02][Zr0.525Ti0.475]0.981?( m /2)Nb0.012Zn m O3 where m =?0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0 mol% Zn, were synthesized via a solid-state reaction method. X-ray diffraction studies are supported by tolerance factor and electronegativity difference measurements. Scanning electron microscopy studies reveal grain growth enhancement with increase of Zn concentration. As the Zn concentration increased from 0 to 0.8 mol%, the room-temperature dielectric constant increased while the Curie temperature decreased continuously. An increase in the Zn content had the most significant effect on the piezoelectric properties. The optimum piezoelectric properties were observed for 1 mol% Zn composition.  相似文献

Abstract

The dependence of the normal-state resistivity, resistive superconducting transition (T c, ΔT c), and of the upper critical-field slope (dH c2/dT|T=Tc) on density has been investigated for several YBa2Cu3O9-x(x?2.1) samples. The resistivity decreases rapidly with increasing density, whereas T c and ΔT c are rather insensitive to a change in density. dH c2/dT|Tc depends sensitively on the preparation conditions. The implications of these results both for the evaluation of the parameters relevant to the understanding of the nature of superconductivity and for the technological applications of granular superconductors are briefly discussed.  相似文献

Four experiments examined blocking and UR diminution in human SCR conditioning. In Experiment 1, CSX was conditioned in compound with previously conditioned CSA, in one group, or in a compound with another novel stimulus, CSN, in an additional group. UR diminution occurred, but there was no post-compound difference in CRs in the two groups and no difference in responding to CSX and CSA following equal training on each, i.e., no blocking. The correlation between blocking and UR diminution was not significant. In Experiment 2, two groups received a blocking procedure, but one was tested on CSX and one on CSA. UR diminution occurred, but there were no post-compound CR or UR differences. There was again no within-subjects blocking effect. The correlation between blocking and UR diminution was not significant, but this correlation was significant when data from Experiments 1 and 2 were combined. In Experiment 3, a differential conditioning procedure was used, followed by reinforcement of two compounds, one with CSA+ and one with CSA-. One subgroup was tested on CSA+ and CSA- with reinforcement; another was tested without reinforcement. UR diminution occurred, and there was significant blocking, but only after two nonreinforced tests. Blocking and UR diminution were significantly correlated. In Experiment 4, four groups received compound conditioning after initial training with CSA. The compound contained CSX and CSA for three groups and two novel CSs for the fourth. Ten nonreinforced test trials were run. The three blocking groups received two CSAs plus eight CSXs, four CSAs plus six CSXs, or all CSXs. The fourth group received ten nonblocked CSXs. CR magnitude to blocked CSX was significantly smaller than to nonblocked CSX during the last six test trials, but not initially. Blocking and UR diminution were not correlated, in disagreement with the first three studies. The results indicated that repeated nonreinforced test trials are needed for blocking to be observed in this preparation. The proposition that blocking and UR diminution are both due to reduced processing of the US received only partial support.  相似文献

The effects of crystallization on the electron work function and corrosion resistance of Zr65Al7.5Cu17.5Ni10 amorphous alloys have been studied. The single-phase amorphous alloy exhibits a better corrosion resistance and has a higher work function than the partially and fully crystallized alloys with the same composition. The close relationship between corrosion resistance and work function indicates that the Kelvin probe technique can be a powerful tool for characterizing the corrosion behaviour of amorphous alloy on an electronic level.  相似文献

A quantum mechanical ab initio simulation of XO2 molecules (X?=?O, S, Se, Te and Po) and the relevant dimers has been performed. The X–O bond polarity and the bent configuration of the XO2 species are discussed as factors governing their condensation mechanisms. Three points are emphasized: (i) the fundamental difference between the constitution of the condensed phases of OO2 and SO2, on the one hand, and those of SeO2 and TeO2, on the other; (ii) the occurrence of polymorphism in crystalline TeO2 and its absence in crystalline SeO2; (iii) the driving forces of the γ–α polymorph transformation in crystalline TeO2.  相似文献

Two critical target stimuli (T1 and T2) were embedded in a stream of white letters shown on a black background, using a rapid serial visual presentation paradigm (RSVP, 100 msec/item). T1 was a red H or S; T2 was an X or a Y. Performance in a two-alternative discrimination on T2 was impaired when processing of T1 was required—a result often called an attentional blink (AB). In previous work, the response in Task1 has been an unspeeded and delayed response at the end of the trial. Three experiments compared performances in Task2 that depended on whether Task1 required an unspeeded delayed response or a speeded immediate response. A larger AB was found when a speeded response was required. Furthermore, in the speeded conditions, faster responses in Task1 were associated with a smaller and shorter AB effect than were slower responses. The results show that manipulations affecting a relatively late stage of processing—response selection—affect the magnitude and duration of the AB phenomenon. A new central inhibition theory is proposed to account for these results. According to this theory, the AB is similar to the psychological refractory period effect and is caused by central postponement of short-term consolidation of T2.  相似文献

Abstract

The crystallographic and microstructural changes of the ordered cubic carbide (K) phase on ageing have been studied in rapidly solidified Fe-30.9 wt% Mn-8.9 wt% AI-2.8 wt%C ((Fe0.65, Mn0.35)0.83 Al0.17–12 at.%C) alloy. In the as-rapidly solidified condition, an austenitic phase coexists with the carbide phase which is composed of antiphase domains in the interior of the solidification cell. The antiphase domain boundaries were aligned nearly parallel to the {100} planes. By visually comparing the intensity ratio (I110/I100) of the selected-area diffraction pattern in the transmission electron microscope and by quantitatively comparing the same X-ray diffraction intensity ratio, we have deduced that the K phase tends to consolidate into the L'12 structure on ageing at 450°C but into the L12 structure on ageing at 700°C.  相似文献

The phase transitions of Zr41.2Ti13.8Cu12.5Ni10Be22.5 bulk metallic glass have been investigated under high pressures and at room temperature. Direct resistance measurements in a diamond anvil cell provide evidence of a reversible transition between amorphous and crystalline phases; crystallization events occurred at 24 and 26.2 GPa on uploading, and crystalline-to-amorphous phase transitions were observed at 16 and 10.6 GPa on downloading. The phase transitions were confirmed by transmission electron microscopy observations.  相似文献

Taking into account the importance of undercooling on glass formation, we propose a new criterion which allowed us to predict the best glass-forming composition, namely Pd78Ag5.5Si16.5, among selected Pd–Si-based alloys ranging from binary to quaternary systems. The composition agrees well with that found experimentally. Using conventional copper mould casting, the Pd78Ag5.5Si16.5 alloy is capable of forming fully amorphous rods with a diameter of 3 mm. The effects of Au and Ag additions on the glass-forming ability of the selected Pd–Si-based alloys have been investigated.  相似文献

Models of two-category signal recognition are compared to data from a variety of experimental conditions. For recognition, one of two signals (S1, S2) which vary slightly on some simple physical dimension is presented on each trial, and 0 is to identify (I1, I2 ) which signal was presented. In general, Os show a decrease in both Pr(I1 /S2) and Pr(I2/S1) for either greater Pr(S2) or, sequentially, for greater S2 recency. These effects are described as probability and sequential contrast, respectively. The memory state model (MS) describes a three-state threshold process with responses determined by a simple first-order Markov process which depends on the sensory state and response on the immediately preceding trial. The memory trace regression model (MTR) assumes that O compares the observed signal event with the memory trace of the previous signal event. When the difference is large, the sign of the difference determines the response; when it is small, the response depends on the preceding response. The memory trace is assumed to regress toward the mean signal value. Both models accurately predict the observed bias changes as a function of signal probabilities and of the subsequence of events on the previous trial. The response axioms of the MTR model are modified to predict the results for individual Os for Markov chains of signal events. The response axioms of the MS model are modified to predict responding when information is given to O concerning signal probabilities. Although both models do well under all conditions, the MS model uses fewer parameters and correctly predicts the direction of higher order sequential dependencies.  相似文献
