采用2(呈现方式:平滑滚动引导式、RSVP)×5(呈现速度:120、240、360、480、600字/分)×3(窗口大小:5、10、15字)的多因素混合实验设计,运用EyelinkⅡ眼动仪对汉语动态文本阅读过程进行研究。结果发现,呈现速度较快(≥360字/分)时,与RSVP条件相比,被试在平滑滚动引导式条件下的平均注视时间短、注视次数多、眼跳距离小,阅读理解率高,且被试更偏爱此种呈现方式;呈现速度较慢(≤240字/分)时,两种呈现方式在平均注视时间和注视次数上没有差异。在平滑滚动引导式下,被试在三种窗口大小中各项指标上没有差异;在RSVP条件下,与5字窗口相比,大窗口(10字或15字)条件下平均注视时间更短。 相似文献

采用EyelinkⅡ眼动仪为工具,考察在移动窗口条件下不同工作记忆容量读者的阅读差异。实验为5(窗口大小:1个字、3个字、5个字、7个字、4×25个字)×2(工作记忆容量:高、低)混合设计。结果表明:随着窗口大小的增加,阅读时间、注视次数、眼跳次数显著减少,阅读速度显著加快,眼跳幅度显著增加。与低工作记忆容量被试相比,高工作记忆容量被试能够更好地整合文章信息,进行更有效的阅读。 相似文献

引导式显示是在视觉显示终端(VDT)上呈现动态文本的主要方式之一.本研究考察了显示窗口大小、跳动步幅、显示速度等因素对引导式中文文本的阅读工效的影响.实验中采用了3(跳动步幅,被试内变量)×3(显示速度,被试内变量)×2(显示窗口大小,被试间变量)的混合设计,共有18个被试参加了实验.结果发现(1)跳动步幅、显示速度和窗口大小均影响中文文本的阅读工效;(2)达到最佳阅读工效的实验条件在速度和步幅上分别集中于200~400字/分和1~3字/步.最后本文结合中文阅读的相关眼动研究,对这些结果的成因进行了简要的探讨. 相似文献

In alphabetic writing systems, saccade amplitude (a close correlate of reading speed) is independent of font size, presumably because an increase in the angular size of letters is compensated for by a decrease of visual acuity with eccentricity. We propose that this invariance may (also) be due to the presence of spaces between words, guiding the eyes across a large range of font sizes. Here, we test whether saccade amplitude is also invariant against manipulations of font size during reading Chinese, a character-based writing system without spaces as explicit word boundaries for saccade-target selection. In contrast to word-spaced alphabetic writing systems, saccade amplitude decreased significantly with increased font size, leading to an increase in the number of fixations at the beginning of words and in the number of refixations. These results are consistent with a model which assumes that word beginning (rather than word center) is the default saccade target if the length of the parafoveal word is not available. 相似文献

The effect of writing and reading training on preferred font type and size in low-vision students was evaluated in 35 children. An ophthalmologist confirmed low vision according to ICD-10-CM. Children identified the font type and size they could best read. The writing subtest of the Jebsen-Taylor Hand Function Test, read in 1 min., and legibility as measured by the number of readable written letters were used in evaluating the children. A writing and reading treatment program was conducted, beginning with the child's preferred font type and size, for 3 months, 2 days per week, for 45 min. per day at the child's school. Before treatment, the most preferred font type was Verdana; after treatment, the preferred font type and size changed. Students had gained reading and writing speed after training, but their writing legibility was not significantly better. Training might affect the preferred font type and size of students with low vision. Surprisingly, serif and sans-serif fonts were preferred about equally after treatment. 相似文献

Although perceptual information is utilized to judge size or depth, little work has investigated whether such information is used to make memory predictions. The present study examined how the font size of to-be-remembered words influences predicted memory performance. Participants studied words for a free-recall test that varied in font size and made judgments of learning (JOLs) for each item. JOLs were influenced by font size, as larger font sizes were given higher JOLs, whereas little relationship was evident between font size and recall. The effect was modified when other, more valid, sources of information (e.g., associative strength) were available when JOLs were made and persisted despite experience with multiple study-test sessions, use of a forgetting scale to assess predictions, and explicit warning of participants that font size has little effect on memory performance. When ease of reading was manipulated, such that large font size words were made less fluent, the effect was eliminated. Thus, highly accessible perceptual cues can strongly influence JOLs, likely via encoding fluency, and this effect can lead to metacognitive illusions 相似文献

研究采用4(呈现方式:小-小、小-大、大-小、大-大)×2(文本内容:句子、“※”串)的被试内设计,考察了文本字符呈现大小对读者眼跳选择目标和注视持续时间的影响。结果发现:(1)读者在浏览不同呈现方式的“※”串时的眼动模式基本上与阅读相应呈现方式的句子类似;(2)句子完全是由双字词构成,词内的首字和尾字大小不等(‘小-大”和“大-小”呈现条件)严重影响阅读效率;(3)读者在阅读句子时的注视时间高于浏览“※”串时的注视时间。结果说明,视觉呈现方式和词汇加工均影响读者的眼动模式。 相似文献

The perceptual span or region of effective vision during eye fixations in reading was examined as a function of reading speed
(fast readers were compared with slow readers), font characteristics (fixed width vs. proportional width), and intraword spacing
(normal or reduced). The main findings were that fast readers (reading at about 330 wpm) had a larger perceptual span than
did slow readers (reading about 200 wpm) and that the span was not affected by whether or not the text was fixed width or
proportional width. In addition, there were interesting font and intraword spacing effects that have important implications

Software that provides extremely smooth gliding and scrolling of magnified characters and pictograms on standard PCs is described. The program was designed as a tool for reading research, as a computer aid for visually impaired readers, and as a subtitle generator for multimedia applications. 本文系统总结了20年来汉语阅读眼动控制的研究成果。在阅读过程中眼动控制主要回答两个问题:(1)哪些因素决定眼睛的注视时间(when);(2)哪些因素决定眼睛的注视位置(where)。对于第一个问题,已有研究从词边界信息、词频、熟悉性、预测性、语义透明度、具体性、非注视词的特性、词汇获得年龄进行了探讨;对于第二个问题,已有研究从汉字字号、笔画数、字结构、词长、词结构、词间空格、词频、预测性、合理性、年龄和阅读能力进行了探讨。通过比较发现,汉语阅读的眼动控制特点与拼音文字的眼动控制特点既有共同之处,又有差异之处。因此,汉语阅读的研究者需要在现有眼动控制模型的基础上,构建适合于汉语特性的眼动控制模型。 相似文献
