Les enjeux de l’entreprenariat immigré

This article reviews the major findings of the scholarship on immigrant economies and critically analyses the use of the notion of ethnicity therein. It first presents the context and the opportunities of entrepreneurs (micro- and macro-context, support policies, transnationalism, informal economies), before describing the resources mobilized by businesspeople. These include, in particular, networks and ethnic/social capital, whose relationships with factors such as class, gender, culture, and social mobility are investigated. The article concludes by questioning the very notion of ethnic economies, arguing that it may lead to an over-ethnicisation of business practices within immigrant groups.     

L’affaire Lambert et ses enjeux constitutionnels

Despite a great number of legal analyses concerning the Vincent Lambert Case, only few of them adopt a constitutional point of view. This lack questions the relevance of Constitutional Law to protect rights and liberties. That is particularly true concerning the matter of the end of life. The right to life and the patient's right to consent (and refuse) to a medical treatment are not specifically enshrined by French constitution, (set aside the simple right to live freely). Therefore, this legal vagueness may lead to various interpretations of the fundamental law, which could promote rights and liberties as a tool protecting one's life, as well as it may recognize a real right to die.     

Les gestes en autoconfrontation croisée : enjeux et pratiques

This article aims to show how the relationship between gestures and speech can help understand mechanisms of activity's development. In situation of self-confrontation work analysis between two workers, we study more precisely the repetition of a sweep gesture made by one of the two professionals and repeated by the other one. We argue that this type of repetition highlights development of activities mechanisms. From two extracts from a cross self-confrontation, we analyze the coordination between speech and gestures. We finally show that mismatches between gestures and speech make possible to understand development of activity of these professionals in this particular context. As a conclusion, the hypothesis that this development may be one of the origins of the transformation of action in ordinary work situations is advanced.     

Psychologie communautaire en Amérique latine : trajectoire historique et enjeux actuels

The aim of this article is to describe the historical circumstances and the sociopolitical influences that gave rise to community psychology in Latin America. The presentation discusses the evolution of the discipline beginning in the late 1950s and elaborates on the historical, social and political influences that shaped its identity, including the context for the evolution of psychology as a scientific discipline and as a helping profession. Finally, two major and current challenges that community psychology faces in Latin America are discussed, namely the systematisation and evaluation of intervention and practice, and the empowerment of communities through real participation of its members.     

Évaluation des enjeux narcissiques à partir du test de Rorschach au terme d’une psychothérapie

The goal of this study is to evaluate, using the Rorschach, the evolution of one patient's narcissistic investments after two years of psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapy. Both quantitative and qualitative measures of narcissism on the Rorschach were studied in depth in this test-retest study. Results indicate that quantitative measures of narcissism and egocentrism were decreased after two years of psychotherapy. The patient also presented doubt concerning her self-worth, as well as new perceptions of her vulnerabilities and her need for shoring up. Increased flexibility concerning narcissistic investments was evident, which weakened the patient's Ego and containing capacity; this facilitated work on depressive issues.     

Quels enjeux pour les soins bucco-dentaires sous anesthésie générale chez les adultes ?

Common dental acts sometimes require to be performed under general anesthesia. This article describes the development of an adult consultation for dental care under general anesthesia at hospital Henri-Mondor in Créteil group. Forty-two people received dental care under general anesthesia during the year 2015 at Henri-Mondor hospital. Thirty-eight percent were aged 21 to 30 years. The main reason for using general anesthesia phobias 56%. The second reason, with 31%, is on disability. Among the type of intervention, 61% represent extractions of permanent teeth. However, our study shows that the indication of general anesthesia must be asked as a last resort. Other alternative techniques exist and must be offered an upstream. General anesthesia tends to grow and be part of a comprehensive treatment of certain categories of patients. General anesthesia comfort remains prohibited.     

Les transformations du marché du travail et des organisations : enjeux de maintien au travail et de mobilité professionnelle

This article examines the impacts of the changes in the labor market and organizations as well as their effects on women executives’ job retention and professional mobility. This research is rooted in a qualitative approach based on 51 individual interviews with female executives. The results reveal that the work of women executives is organized around financial goals and could entail risks such as loss of meaning. In these contexts, women developpe resistance or collaboration strategies to integrate and stay at work. These strategies have consequences on their professional mobility.     

L’accompagnement à la recherche d’un emploi : enjeux,modèles,et perspectives de recherche

What is at stake in the process of elaborating support to provide job seekers with personal advice, both theoretically and practically speaking? All through a review of papers, this article focuses on different theoretical schemes in the process of helping jobseekers to get back to work, but it also details the currently existing support devices and analyses their effects. Eventually it concentrates on the main psychological features taken into account in the process of counseling. As a conclusion, this article examines the perspectives and the consequences of molding and shaping personal counseling for jobseekers from a research angle.     

Démarche et enjeux d'une recherche–action en partenariat sur la thématique du stress et de la souffrance au travail

In this article, the authors aim to describe and analyze the main stages of an action-research carried out with different partners (actors and organizations) about stress and suffering at work. They examine the conditions of realization of such a research. They specially point up the evolution of professionals and researchers roles just as the evolution of the goals pursued by the work group they instituted. This action-research began 2 years ago: it permitted to materialize projects mentioned in this contribution.     

Technologies émergentes et transformations digitales de l’activité : enjeux pour l’activité et la santé au travail

The question of the introduction of emerging technologies and their incessant renewal in organizations basically refers to the place and role that these devices play in activity, as well as how they can affect activity and health at work … Thought as a prospective reflection trying to grasp the logic and the modalities of the digital transformations in progress, the ambition of this paper is: (i) first, identify and characterize the emerging technologies that are deployed in the company; (ii) discuss their impact on the activity and well-being of employees, showing the uses and paradoxical effects that these devices can have on work; and (iii) finally think about the psychosocial function of these devices as potential health and business development operators.     

Psychologie sociale de la santé et compétences psychosociales en éducation thérapeutique : des enjeux pour la recherche et pour la pratique

The article presents the theoretical-methodological contributions of Social Health Psychology on the evaluation and reinforcement of psychosocial skills in the context of therapeutic patient education. This is illustrated by a synthesis of the results of several empirical researches in the field of pediatric diabetes. This synthesis shows that psychosocial skills are part of a system of actions and interpretations shaped by therapeutic and relational issues as well as social symbolism. Several practical implications emerge from these results for more effective work on the psychosocial skills of patients. The article concludes with the interest of a “psychosocial clinic” which draws on the viewpoint of Social Health Psychology to evaluate, analyze and intervene on the psychosocial determinants of health behaviours.     

Évolutions législatives et enjeux éthiques liés à la prise en charge des enfants ayant un trouble de la différenciation sexuelle (DSD)

The ethical dilemma concerning the care of children with a disorder of sex development opposes patients who have benefited from undeniable medical and surgical advances over the past 30 years and patients who have suffered from initial carek, experienced as “torture” or “genital mutilation”. The latter, grouped into advocacy organization (including the International Intersex Organization), recommend that genital operation of children must be avoided until they can give their prior consent, in the name of the fundamental right to self-determination and physical integrity. This “free choice” left to the child would not take into account the opinion of the parents or that of the medical team, nor any psychological, social and societal consequences, nor the risks of late surgery. Recent legislative developments are exposed. The interest of legislating on these delicate situations affecting the most intimate is questioned, especially as they are of great complexity because of the heterogeneity of genetic causes and family situations. Medico-surgical Societies, in connection with patient associations denounce this media hold by “Intersex” activists, who are not representative of the patients having been managed more recently. They advocate to continue to understand these situations on a case-by-case basis, leaving the choice to the parents to allow the child to grow up in a gendered body.     

Le clinicien face à la crise hystérique : enjeux théoricocliniques de l'épreuve du féminin

Hysterical crisis shows unexpected hallucinations and delirium happening into hysterical structure. Although subject of many psycho-analytical works, hysterical crisis is always matter of debate. That kind of crisis happens when hysterical women and their lover have fallen out. Analysing the case of madam M., we will propose a reflexion about the real raison of those love-affairs to reconsider hysteria in relation to feminity. We will propose a new conception of feminine climax in connection with hallucinations and delirium happening into hysteria. We will debate about position of psycho-clinician, precisely the transference-using face to hysterical subject in state of emergency. Finally, we will propose to think over singularity of subjective structure using the supply concept.     

L’intensification du travail,et l’intensification des changements dans le travail : quels enjeux pour les travailleurs expérimentés ?

In this article we address, on the basis of various knowledge in ergonomics, work psychology and work demography, the stakes of a confrontation between two trends in progress: on one side the structural ageing of workforce, on the other side work intensification, and intensification of changes at work. This analyze includes statements on these evolutions by themselves, and a synthesis of knowledge on the difficulties created by the intensification of work, or changes at work, for elderly workers, but also on work strategies that those can elaborate, using their experience, in order to cope with these constraints.     

L’évaluation structurée du risque de récidive des personnes placées sous main de justice : méthodes et enjeux

Although the prevention of recidivism in France is currently undergoing numerous transformations, the evaluation of the risk of recidivism of individuals under the justice system is a major issue. The absence of structure and standardization in current evaluation procedures raises doubts regarding their validity and underlines the necessity to determine evaluation methods that are clinically and scientifically validated. The professionals and their administration would benefit largely from a range of strategies that would aid in executing the most just, transparent and coherent evaluation possible. This article will trace the evolution of the evaluation of the risk of recidivism, the principal strategies and methods, the most common risk factor families used, as well as illustrations of two typical strategies of evolution of the risk of recidivism; integrated evaluation with the LS/CMI and evaluation based on structured professional judgment guided by the HCR-20.     

Le processus d’intervention en santé au travail : éclairer les enjeux de l’action par un exercice de formalisation de l’activité

IntroductionThe quality of action in occupational health requires attention to its dynamic, for example analysing the activity of the intervenant consultant: what he manages to do in his activity and the obstacles he encounters.ObjectiveThis article proposes to feed the knowledge on the intervention from a qualitative approach and centered on the intervention process.MethodUsing the case study, the article shows the real of the intervention, its obstacles and the adjustments it imposes. The case studied is in a journal.ResultsThis intervention process shows the effects of variation caused by lack of accession and support from management and the trade unions, the difficulty of passing from knowledge to action.ConclusionThe difficulties have a function of revelation which the evaluation of the effects of an intervention can take into account.     

2004–2009 : révision de la loi de bioéthique en France,quels enjeux,quels débats ? Assistance médicale à la procréation,gestation pour autrui,transplantation

The bioethics law, adopted for the first time in 1994 and revised in 2004, is under revision again. This process has raised numerous debates at various institutional, professional and social levels. The government also organised a unique type of citizens’ consultation: the General Estates in Bioethics (GEB). Several panels of citizens had the opportunity to express their informed opinion on a selected set of topics concerning the law revision, after having received a special training by an expert committee. We have analysed the contributions of six public bodies – the Parliament Office for Scientific and Technological Choices Evaluation (OPECST), the National Consultative Ethics Committee, (CCNE), the State Council, (CE), the Biomedical Agency, (ABM), the Senate and the Parliamentary Information Mission for this bioethics law revision – as well as the final GEB's report. In this article, we present and compare their proposals on three themes: Medically assisted procreation (MAP), surrogacy and transplantation. Whereas a consensus emerged from the debates on certain issues – apart from the Senate, all institutions seem to be in favour of maintaining the current banning of surrogacy – other points are still under debate – how to open the access to MAP technologies, under what conditions should we grant access to selected data concerning gamete donors, how is death defined in the difficult conditions of a potential non heart beating donor, should the presumed consent regime for post mortem donation be revised, and if so how, – The parliament should discuss the law during 2010's first semester, and will have the difficult responsibility to take measures on issues raising medical, scientific, social, philosophical and moral questions.
