In psychoanalytic research little attention has been given to one of the analyst’s chief instruments, namely his/her voice, although, apart from a few exceptions, the patient has to rely mainly on the acoustic channel in the course of the psychoanalytic process. The author presumes this to be a sign of a collective resistance among analysts which protects them against an unsettling idea: Our utmost restraint notwithstanding, it is in our voice that our physical nature materializes, that our presence is felt in a sensory way thus affecting our patients. An attempt is undertaken to show to what extent the analyst’s voice as a part of the atmosphere in the analyst’s practice affects the patient physically, thus making it possible for him/her an aesthetic experience, which may as a sensory perception lead to changes of the habitual ways of perception and thus to new experiences. Using the concept of “The Performance” devised by Fischer-Lichte, a lecturer in the theory of drama, the author explains to what extent meanings are created by both participants of a psychoanalytic process: Fischer-Lichte regards the aesthetics of performance as aesthetics of presence which arouse the sensation of physical presence. If the patient’s focus on the voice is not merely interpreted as a means of defence against comprehending the semantic meanings of the words, but is accepted as a necessary transition stage leading to re-animating the patient’s conception of reality, then a new listening and performing horizon is opened where the presence of other things can be experienced.  相似文献

This article deals with Kurt Wolff’s interpretation of Karl Mannheim, with reference to his writings on social planning. Wolff’s interpretation is presented and discussed in the context provided by other interpreters of Mannheim. They have, generally speaking, given scant attention to the late works by Mannheim, and rather focused on Ideology and Utopia, Mannheim’s most celebrated work. Interpreters who have considered these writings on planning have been mostly or entirely critical of them, objecting to their vagueness and inadequacy as a project of social reform, and the unsatisfactory conceptualization of the élites. These objections have been raised by several interpreters of different ideological persuasions, from the Marxist thinkers Adorno and Lukacs to the conservative T.S. Eliot. Wolff’s interpretation stands out in that it pays less attention to the social and political contents of Mannheim’s reform project, but brings into light its psychological background; namely, the deep anguish Mannheim experienced because of the widespread tendencies to the formation of a mass society, prone to the forces of irrationalism and authoritarianism. A perusal of Mannheim’s works on planning bears out Wolff’s interpretation.  相似文献

This paper is intended to discuss the problems occurring in the relation between the notion of truth and the question of self-reference. To do this, we shall review Tarski's (T) convention and its related terminology. We shall clarify the relation between truth and extension in order to lead into the question of semantic paradoxes appearing in the theoretical models concerned with truth. Subsequently, we shall review the logical system which develops in the reformulation of the modal proposal of the (T) convention. In closing, we shall critically examine Kripke's interpretation from the proposals made by Tarski.  相似文献

The author presents a counter-transferential dream of the director of a flat sharing community for mentally disabled persons. On the one side she realizes hereby a tension between the performances which have to be presented for external quality assurance and the “work which is not to be seen”, i.e. the coping with emotions and phantasies of the caring staff. On the other side she discovers, motivated by Freud, Morgenthaler and most of all by Elisabeth Lenk, in this dream a mimetic (ecstatic, sexual) dimension which may become a threat for the coherence of the subject. An attempt at interpretation leads to the extremes of exhibitionism and voyeurism as they are activated in the care work. Institutions produce their own counter-transferences steeped in the phantasms prevailing in these institutions (here: mental disability). In the counter-transference dream analyzed here the author discovers elements of the primal scene and examines the relevance of the associated phantasies in the constitution of the subject of the caring staff, of the cared-for persons and of the author herself.  相似文献

On the Protophysics of time. Reply to H. Andreas’ critique along with a remark on the scope of operational foundations of measurement. In 2004, H. Andreas presented in this journal a refutation of Janich’s operational foundation of time measurement. Pursuing suggestions made by F. Mühlhölzer in 1981, Andreas intends to show that Janich’s proof of the uniqueness of the operationalization that he suggested fails. It is shown that Andreas’ arguments, like Mühlhölzer’s, are mistaken and do not challenge Janich’s theory. Some remarks on the scope of Protophysics are added, which may lead to a more substantial discussion of the merits of Janich’s approach.  相似文献

The public interest in ??new?? clinical symptoms is described exemplified by burnout, mobbing and trauma. In the background self-explanations by patients as well as interests of therapists can be recognized. Both can be understood as an expression of subconsciously reflected contemporary convictions. Post-traumatic stress syndrome and the sequelae of abuse, which are probably diagnosed too often in guideline correct psychotherapy, throw up questions on the appropriate therapy and possible injurious side effects. The social background to the psychotherapeutic fascination with trauma will be discussed.  相似文献
