Despite sustained interest of both researchers and practitioners in favor of a reliable measure of management consulting effectiveness, the existing assessment instruments remain scarce, poorly validated and often inadequate. This study proposes a new instrument for assessing management consulting effectiveness from the consultant's point of view: The Consulting Effectiveness Questionnaire (Questionnaire d’efficacité de la consultation). The preliminary empirical validation of the questionnaire was conducted using two samples of 116 and 207 consultants. Exploratory and Confirmatory factor analyses suggests a second-order two-factor solution, namely the Quality of the process and Value-added results. The results offer preliminary support for the psychometric properties (validity and reliability) of this promising tool for both research and practice purposes.  相似文献

This article deals with the theoretical model of integration process. The aim is to compare theory with clinic through the study of a migrant child, which present an elective muteness at school. The integration process seeks to highlight how groupals and intersubjectives situations are articulated to psychical reality. This articulation can help to the transitionnalisation of the individual experiences and thus support their integration. But all groups do not have the same potential of transitionnalisation. The family psychic apparatus seems to be the most appropriate agency for resolving in a creative way individual suffering.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to estimate, outside a context of game, the attentional behavior (selection and focus) of pathological gamblers in front of the emotional information, and in various stages of its treatment. More exactly, anxious pathological gamblers (14), not anxious pathological gamblers (10), anxious not gamblers (14) and not anxious not gamblers (15) were subjected to a task of selection spatial attentional (task modified by detection of probes, Mogg and Bradley, 2004) and in a task of focus attentional (task of distractors, Fox, 1993, Fox, 1996). The results reveal an effect combined by the pathological gambling and by the anxiety Trait, on the processing of emotional information, in the first stages of its treatment (subliminal condition and automatic).  相似文献

The aim of this article is to identify the factors facilitating the invention, dissemination and diffusion phases of the innovation process. An action-research was conducted in a hospital setting using mixed methods (participant observation, interviews and questionnaires). A triple case study illustrated the invention of a change management methodology, its dissemination using an interactive learning strategy and its diffusion within and outside the organization. Ten factors from various research traditions emerged. No model was able to explain all factors facilitating one phase. Phases of the innovation process were carried out dynamically, as a continuously reactivated process.  相似文献

The purpose of the study is to identify predictors of intention to leave the teaching profession early. The aim is to identify factors related to work requirements and/or the individual that may predict intentions to dropout to the profession or migrate to another school compared to intentions to remain a teacher. A questionnaire assessing sociodemographic characteristics, career stage, burnout, and 34 factors related to daily work demands was completed by 193 French teachers, all tenured and practicing in secondary schools. An exploratory factor analysis (EFA) revealed 4 factors reflecting the difficulties of teaching work likely to explain the phenomenon of dropping out. Simple and multiple logistic regression analyses have been used to test two adjustment models identifying the work and/or individual factors predicting the risk of dropout. Reasons for intentions to quit or migrate are different but involve working conditions. The results are discussed in relation to the international literature and recommendations are proposed.  相似文献

We studied recruiters’ representations of the structured interview. In Study 1, 90 recruiters were interviewed. They define “structure” mainly as a schema or list of questions. The terms “structured” and “unstructured” also have different connotations. This can create a social desirability bias in surveys on selection practices, causing an overestimation of the real prevalence of structured interviewing. In Study 2, 59 recruiters responded to a questionnaire. Attitudes towards structured interviews are positive, but representations diverge from scientific definitions, especially regarding unstructured interviews. Recruiters’ representations allow flexibility in practice while maintaining a positive self-image.  相似文献

Conducted within the Canadian Forces (N=652), this study explores the role of self-determined motivation and affective commitment in relation to personnel retention within the military. Three groupings of variables are used in order to shed light on the mechanisms underlying personnel retention: a) distal antecedents (i.e. leadership styles), b) proximal antecedents (i.e. group cohesion and work climate) and c) mediators (i.e. self-determined motivation and affective commitment). Illustrated through a structural model, results demonstrate the existence of a partial mediator effect from affective commitment in the relationship between self-determined motivation and intention to stay. These findings are discussed in regards of their implications from theoretical and practical perspectives.  相似文献

This article gives an account of research carried out the workload of healthcare providers in hospital emergency wards, by focusing on several factors that are both related to the patients and to their activity. Based on 121 observations conducted in two hospitals, coupled with the NASA-TLX scale and an ad hoc questionnaire, this research indicates that the elements which contribute the most to perceived workload are the agitated behavior of patients and communication difficulties linked to handicap. However, variations in the number of tasks do not seem to have an influence on the workload perceived by health care providers which tends to highlight that the relations to patients contribute more to the perception of workload than the number of tasks. In the situation observed, the regulation of workload is made possible by the management of relational factors (physical demand, frustration and effort) which determine, in part, workload perception. In order to reduce or adapt this load, this article suggests basing interventions on the way to deal with difficult patients and not on the regulation of the number of tasks.  相似文献

Our work purpose was to study the impact of focal frontal lesions on the inhibitors processes. We used two arabophone versions of Hayling task and the Stroop task with condition of flexibility. In comparison with 13 control subjects matched by age, gender and level of education, frontal patients were (1) significantly slower in both task without been disproportionately slower in the condition needed inhibition, (2) committed significantly more errors than control subjects in the second part of Hayling task showed inhibition deficit, (3) laterality of frontal lesions had no incidence on performance, (4) individual analysis showed multiples dissociated deficits but also showed correlations between scores of rapidity, flexibility and inhibition. In conclusion, among all of performances, scores of errors in the Stroop and the Hayling tasks seemed to be the more sensitive to the frontal damage. Patients with the lowest performance in both inhibition tasks were those who presented lesions involving both the medial and lateral frontal cortex, the anterior cingulated cortex and/or orbitofrontal cortex.  相似文献

This comparative study France–Quebec.7 aims at identifying predictive factors of secondary students’ parental involvement in homework and compares the two populations. Sociodemographic and psychological variables were retained in relation to parental beliefs regarding homework. Exactly 230 French parents and 344 Quebecois parents filled in a same questionnaire. The main results obtained through regression analyses reveal the importance of parental role construction and parental self-efficacy in the prediction of parental involvement in homework in France and in Québec.  相似文献

The aim of this article is to focus on contingent workers’ organizational commitment. A review of literature on contingent workers’ attitudes leads to think that this type of work arrangement is associated with a high level of job insecurity, which is not favourable to organizational commitment. However, empirical studies present very contrasting results. This absence of consensus leads us to propose a research model, which puts the emphasis on the way the temporary workers interpret their job arrangement. The model was tested on 208 temporary help service workers. The results highlight the mediating role of perceived job insecurity on organizational commitment, as well as importance of perceived organizational support (POS).  相似文献

Alexithymia is a deficit in the cognitive processing of emotion. From a psychoanalytic perspective, alexithymia can be conceived as a disorder of affect mentalization. The present study proposes an original angle for the study of alexithymia by using an innovative method for the evaluation of affect mentalization through the analysis of discourse: the grille de l’élaboration verbale des affects (GÉVA). The GÉVA was applied to the discourse of 62 participants suffering from a respiratory disorder and whose level of alexithymia was previously assessed with the Beth Israel Hospital Psychosomatic Questionnaire (BIQ). Results show that the alexithymic participants’ discourse presents lower levels of verbal elaboration of affect as well as a lower proportion of emotional content compared to the non alexithymic participants’ discourse.  相似文献

IntroductionDropping out of school is a research topic with various dimensions: non-graduation, school leaving, absenteeism, school failure and school refusal. It involves processes determined by various factors – individual, social, familial and institutional. Individual determinants have specifically been studied in the recent literature. They involve demographic and academic indicators, behaviors, attitudes and mental health of the student, as well as specific types of school refusal. The aim of our study is to update knowledge in this specific field, and highlight underlying problems and methodological issues raised in the literature.MethodDropping out of school is defined as leaving school without a qualification. It involves a process of specific disengagement, which is non-reducible to the negative counterpart of school commitment. The present article is a review of literature from PsycInfo on the individual determinants of dropping out of school. It is based on 50 articles published between 2010 and 2017, related to the following topics: school dropouts, school leavers, school refusal, and academic failure. Five exclusion criteria were used: studies with single factor analysis, literature review, sample excluding secondary education, sample of less than n = 100, non-general, non-mixed, or composed of a sociodemographic minority.ResultsSchool performance and early risk behaviors (substance use disorders, sexuality) remain the best determinants of dropping out throughout the duration of schooling. Psychopathological factors, anxiety, depression and externalized disorders can play a direct or indirect role in the prediction of dropping out. Lack of psycho-emotional support strongly supports the intention to drop out. Motivation has an unequal predictive value, depending on the type of construct or theoretical model used. Inappropriate beliefs, low self-esteem, pessimism, creativity appear as indirect determinants of dropping out. School burnout, understood as emotional, physical and mental exhaustion due to education, directly causes a break between the student and the school.DiscussionMethodological bias can modify the significance of determinants such as gender, academic achievement and retention. Greater knowledge about the relationships between determinants, the profiles of at-risk students and temporalities should help clarify students’ trajectories and the processes at work in different school contexts. Recommendations to educational staff are put forward regarding the detection of individual indicators of dropping out.  相似文献

More and more often quality of life at work (QWL) is considered as an alternative or a complementary approach to that of psychosocial risks. However, the vagueness surrounding the concept of QWL is not conducive to its use for prevention of burnout. This article presents a theoretical model for an operational definition of QWL as well as the resulting instrument: the Quality of Work life Systemic Inventory. The results obtained in a sample of community workers reveal that when the overall QWL score is below the 25th percentile (reference population of 3500 workers), the risk of emotional exhaustion is 4.06 times higher and the risk of emotional exhaustion is 4.06 times higher. disengagement 5.86 times higher.  相似文献

The objective of this study is to examine the influence of explicit (team reflexivity) and implicit (transactive memory) coordination processes on the perceived interventional effectiveness of specialized elite units (RAID) of the French national police. We test the hypothesis that transactive memory is a mediating process in the relationship between team reflexivity and perceived effectiveness. One hundred and three police-officers representing the seven French police special units replied to a questionnaire. The results show that perceived effectiveness is positively related to task reflexivity and transactive memory. The relationship between task reflexivity and perceived effectiveness is mediated by the integrated component of transactive memory (bootSE = 0.05, 95% BCa CI [0.004, 0.19]). The theoretical and practical implications are discussed with regard to the development of debriefing methods and teamwork training for the development of shared mental models.  相似文献

This research aims at a better understanding of one aspect of emotional labor in child welfare: coping with intense negative emotions. It is based on 15 interviews conducted with social workers from Child Protective Services. Results indicate that the drivers of this aspect of emotional labor are characterized by unpredictability and interpersonal conflict. They give rise to surprise, anxiety and especially anger, particularly against institutions. Emotional regulation is carried out implicitly with a professional instrumental purpose. Different strategies are mobilized sequentially: social sharing of emotions and cognitive strategies allow recovery. The team social support during informal times appears central. These results underline the role of the team and plead for the recognition and professionalization of emotional work in this sector.  相似文献

IntroductionCrohn's disease (CD), a chronic inflammatory bowel disease, has strong psychological and social repercussions related to the specificity of the symptomatology. To better understand how patients cope with the disease, coping strategies have been studied but without taking into account the specificity of the CD experience.ObjectiveOur objective is to identify the perceived coping strategies used by patients in relation to their illness experience.MethodUsing a qualitative approach, semi-structured interviews and thematic content analysis with 33 CD patients in remission were conducted.ResultsOur results highlight that some of the coping strategies used are not taken into account by the coping scales frequently used in the literature. Indeed, the illness experience appears to be fundamental in the establishment of new strategies based on the experiential knowledge patients use to reduce the stress induced by a potential relapse. Moreover, coping strategies based on positive emotions are also implemented, and they enable patients to make sense of the disease.ConclusionThe coping strategies, i.e., “experiential knowledge” and “positive emotions”, may shed more light on the complexity of the illness experience of CD patients and allow us to make recommendations concerning the psychological support of patients.  相似文献

IntroductionRehabilitation is of paramount importance in Parkinson's disease because it compensates for deficiencies in the body's structures and functions and preserves relative autonomy for as long as possible. Nevertheless, people with this disease report low adherence to physical activity.ObjectiveThe purpose of this research is to examine the potential psychological benefits of using an “exergame”, a “serious game” based on physical exercise in the functional rehabilitation of Parkinson's disease, including stress and self-efficacy.MethodA single case ABAB protocol (n = 1) over 4 weeks, 1 week per phase, 3 observation points per phase, was developed. Our variables were measured by questionnaires and we used visual and statistical analysis to interpret changes in scores between Phases A and B.OutcomesThe “exergame” intervention appears to improve perceived stress and self-efficacy. The results are accompanied by an exploratory interview, reporting qualitative changes.ConclusionThe use of “exergame” in Parkinson's disease seems promising, and does not harm the person. But the methodology used is not sufficient to conclude on its real effectiveness. Further studies are needed.  相似文献
