The influence of Cd and Ge on the kinetics of Guinier–Preston zone formation has been studied for Cu–2?wt%?Be–0.3?wt%?Cd and Cu–2?wt% Be–0.3wt%?Ge solid solutions. The relative volume fractions of these Guinier–Preston (GP) zones are determined for different times of ageing at 473?K by a method based on microhardness measurements. Cd atoms in Cu–Be–Cd accelerate GP zone formation. This is due to the supersaturation of Cd atoms in Cu and their strong binding energy with vacancies. In contrast, the Ge atoms do not influence GP zone formation in Cu–Be–Ge. The binding energies between the two solute atoms and a vacancy, and the concentration of the quenched-in vacancies bound to the solute atoms, are calculated using the Hasiguti formula and the Kimura equation.  相似文献

A phase-transformation-induced hardening effect is reported in Zn–22Al (Al: 22?wt.%) alloys. The Zn–22Al specimens were held at 300?°C for 10?h and then quenched in water. A hardening effect took place in subsequent artificial aging at 100–200?°C, which was accompanied by a phase decomposition of a soft α 2 phase and a grain coarsening. The phase-transformation-induced hardening affects the hardness more than the grain-coarsening-induced softening, which leads to the age-hardening phenomenon.  相似文献

Bond-compression and ring-deformation models are used to quantitatively analyze the acoustical properties (elastic moduli, Poisson's ratio, Debye temperature and longitudinal attenuation) of 30RO–30Al2O3–40B2O3 glasses (in wt%), where R?=?Mg, Ca or Sr. The network structure of the glass is quantified in terms of the four-fold coordinated formers, atomic ring size, cross-link density, first-order stretching force constant and bulk modulus. It is found that network strength increases in the order Mg?>?Ca?> Sr. Structural changes of the glasses are deduced by relating the elastic moduli, the ratio of bond compression to experimental bulk modulus and ultrasonic attenuation to structural parameters and oxygen density.  相似文献

This article describes a design strategy deployed in developing ultra-ductile Mg alloys based on a microalloying concept, which aims to restrict grain growth considerably during alloy casting and forming. We discuss the efficiency of the design approach, and evaluate the resulting microstructural and mechanical properties. After processing, the so-designed alloys ZQCa3 (Mg–3Zn–0.5Ag–0.25Ca–0.15Mn, in wt.%) and ZKQCa3 (Mg–3Zn–0.5Zr–0.5Ag–0.25Ca–0.15Mn, in wt.%) reveal very fine grains (<10 µm), high ductility (elongation to fracture of up to 30%) at moderate strength or high strength (ultimate tensile strength of up to 350 MPa) at reasonable ductility. These properties are explained based on thermodynamic modelling, microstructure analysis including transmission electron microscopy studies, and microstructural and mechanical testing after annealing, and are compared to a related commercial alloy (ZK31).  相似文献

Previous research has found that more embodied insults (e.g. numbskull) are identified faster and more accurately than less embodied insults (e.g. idiot). The linguistic processing of embodied compliments has not been well explored. In the present study, participants completed two tasks where they identified insults and compliments, respectively. Half of the stimuli were more embodied than the other half. We examined the late positive potential (LPP) component of event-related potentials in early (400–500?ms), middle (500–600?ms), and late (600–700?ms) time windows. Increased embodiment resulted in improved response accuracy to compliments in both tasks, whereas it only improved accuracy for insults in the compliment detection task. More embodied stimuli elicited a larger LPP than less embodied stimuli in the early time window. Insults generated a larger LPP in the late time window in the insult task; compliments generated a larger LPP in the early window in the compliment task. These results indicate that electrophysiological correlates of emotional language perception are sensitive to both top-down and bottom-up processes.  相似文献

Dissolution of GP zones, formed in aged Al–12?wt%?Mg alloy at ?15 and 24°C, occurs during primary dilatometric and calorimetric tests, but the effect disappears after secondary tests, at low heating and cooling rates (1–2°C/min). After a?new holding at the above temperatures, GP zones again form and β and β′ phases precipitate. The results suggest the formation of GP zones without the presence of quenched-in vacancies.  相似文献

Ordered nanostructured cobalt-doped nickel oxide films were prepared on a conducting glass substrate via the sol–gel dip-coating method. X-ray diffraction analysis shows the films to be amorphous. Field-emission scanning electron microscope images showed well-defined, ordered grains with pores in between them. Supercapacitor behaviour was studied using cyclic voltammetry. A maximum specific capacitance of 1982?F/g at a scan rate of 5?mV/s with 1?M KOH was obtained for 5?wt% of cobalt-doped nickel oxide films. AC impedance analysis showed that the solution resistance was R s?=?27?Ω and the charge transfer resistance R ct?=?20?Ω.  相似文献

The effect of ultrafine-grained structure formation in Mg–Zn–Zr alloy ZK60 on its mechanical response was investigated at strain rates ranging from quasi-static to dynamic regimes. The study demonstrated that the strength characteristics of the material rise significantly with increasing strain rate, while its ductility is reduced. These effects are particularly pronounced in the dynamic loading regime, at strain rates in the (1?5)?×?102?s?1 range. In the ultrafine-grained alloy ZK60, the energy absorption per unit volume, W, is enhanced by grain refinement by a factor as high as eight for the highest strain rate of 5?×?102?s?1 investigated. The analysis is focused on the microstructure features that bring about the observed improvement of the tensile characteristics, as well as the deformation and fracture modes prevalent at different strain rates. The results obtained contribute to the exploration and understanding of dynamic behaviour of magnesium alloys.  相似文献

Experimental measurements of stress drops and band strains in type-B Portevin–Le Chatelier (PLC) bands were carried out for 5xxx series Al–Mg sheets with Mg content between 1.8 and 4.5?wt%. While the stress drops increase with global strain, the band strain values in all the samples follow a common linear relationship with global strain. The results indicate that the type-B PLC band strain is independent of solute content at given strain rate.  相似文献

A highly supersaturated nanocrystalline Cr–25?wt% Zr alloy has been prepared by mechanical alloying of elemental crystalline powders. High-purity powders of Cr and Zr were milled for up to 20?h. The development of the microstructure was investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy. XRD patterns confirmed complete alloying of the Zr and Cr. The contribution of grain boundaries, the chemical potential of a solute atom induced by dislocations, and the elastic strain energy arising from the different sizes of Cr and Zr atoms have been calculated. The alloy formation is discussed with respect to the thermodynamic conditions of the material. The role of internal strains and stored enthalpies by dislocations on solute atoms is the major mechanical driving force for alloying and this is critically assessed in this article.  相似文献

The relationship between dynamic strain ageing (DSA) and serrated flow has been investigated via alternately switching strain rates at various temperatures in a Mg–3Nd–1Zn alloy. The results reveal that serrated flow is enhanced with decreasing strain rate and increasing temperature and tends to vanish, while the DSA continually intensifies as revealed by a higher flow stress even after the serration flow disappears. A mechanism is proposed, which could explain some abnormal deformation behaviour, such as a negative strain rate sensitivity and thermal hardening.  相似文献

How is reading development reflected in eye-movement measures? How does the perceptual span change during the initial years of reading instruction? Does parafoveal processing require competence in basic word-decoding processes? We report data from the first cross-sectional measurement of the perceptual span of German beginning readers (n = 139), collected in the context of the large longitudinal PIER (Potsdamer Intrapersonale Entwicklungsrisiken/Potsdam study of intra-personal developmental risk factors) study of intrapersonal developmental risk factors. Using the moving-window paradigm, eye movements of three groups of students (Grades 1–3) were measured with gaze-contingent presentation of a variable amount of text around fixation. Reading rate increased from Grades 1–3, with smaller increases for higher grades. Perceptual-span results showed the expected main effects of grade and window size: fixation durations and refixation probability decreased with grade and window size, whereas reading rate and saccade length increased. Critically, for reading rate, first-fixation duration, saccade length and refixation probability, there were significant interactions of grade and window size that were mainly based on the contrast between Grades 3 and 2 rather than Grades 2 and 1. Taken together, development of the perceptual span only really takes off between Grades 2 and 3, suggesting that efficient parafoveal processing presupposes that basic processes of reading have been mastered.  相似文献

A new Mg–Sn–Zn based alloy modified with a small amount of Ag exhibits a significantly higher aging peak than that of the base alloy and at a considerably shorter aging time. The enhanced aging response of the Ag-modified alloy is ascribed to the precipitation of densely distributed MgZn2 needles and Mg2Sn plates stimulated by the Ag. A wide and low plateau behind the hardness peak could be associated with rod-shaped precipitates of the orthorhombic Mg54Ag17 phase, aligned with the hexagonal axis of the Mg matrix.  相似文献

Highly fluorescent silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs), soluble in a ferroelectric host of polymer molecules such as poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVF2), have been created in the form of nanofluids. The content of Ag-NPs (flocculates) is varied in steps 0.1–0.2 wt% up to a value of 5.0 wt% in tailoring a broad green emission band over 520–620 nm out of a hybrid percolation Ag–PVF2 composite. A maximum intensity arises in this band at as small a percolation threshold as ~0.1 wt% Ag-NPs. It contains three distinct bands of peak values 541, 565, and 582 nm in an Ag-NPs tunable response of the localized surface plasmons. The emission-dependent anti-Stokes excitation spectrum contains a similar group of three bands 348, 401, and 421 nm. For Ag-contents above 0.1 wt%, interdependent intensities in the emission and excitation bands drop rapidly by as much as five times, conferring a metal–polymer percolation network. The results open wide applications for biological labels and light emitters using such nanofluids.  相似文献

The influence of precipitation morphology, including continuous precipitation (CP) and discontinuous precipitation (DP), on the mechanical behaviour of Cu–Ni–Si alloys was studied. The Cu–6Ni–1.5Si (in wt%) alloy was solution heat treated at 980 °C for 2 h and aged at 500 °C for 0.5 and 3 h to produce CP and DP structures. The DP specimen showed an abnormal increase in tensile ductility with increasing strain rate, unlike the CP counterpart. The impact toughness of the DP specimen was 1.6 times greater than that of CP specimen. The fracture mode in DP specimen was mostly dimpled rupture, while the mixed mode of cleavage fracture and dimpled rupture was noted on the CP specimen.  相似文献

We have fabricated a molecular organic light-emitting device comprising indium–tin oxide/a molecular organic layer/aluminum in which the organic layer is a green fluorescent protein. The device exhibits peak external quantum and power efficiencies of 8?±?0.2% and 13?±?0.7?lm?W???1 at a current of J?=?1.5?A?m?2, respectively. In addition, the turn-on voltage is 2.5?V for 1?cd?m?2 and the maximum luminance achieved is 1275?cd?m?2. This good performance can be explained by the presence of singlet-excited states, leading to a high internal efficiency.  相似文献

The microstructures of Al–1.8 to 92.5?at.% Cu thin films prepared by radiofrequency (13.56?MHz) cathodic magnetron sputtering have been investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electronic microscopy (TEM). A phase separation occurs in films of nominal Al–66.64?at.% Cu composition, consisting of a fcc Al solid solution phase, a fcc Cu solid solution phase and an unexpected sc Cu3Al ordered phase with a Cu3Au structure and a lattice parameter of about 0.36?nm.  相似文献

The γ/γ′ interfaces are thought to play an important role in determining the mechanical properties in single-crystal nickel-based superalloys. In this article, interfacial width in DD6, one second-generation single-crystal superalloy containing 2 wt% Re, has been studied by means of scanning transmission electron microscopy. From an atomic resolution high angle annular dark field image, both compositional interfaces and order–disorder interfaces are studied, and it is first found that the interfacial width of chemical composition is same with that between the ordered and disordered phases.  相似文献

During rapid serial visual presentation (RSVP), the perceptual system is confronted with a rapidly changing array of sensory information demanding resolution. At rapid rates of presentation, previous studies have found an early (e.g., 150–280 ms) negativity over occipital sensors that is enhanced when emotional, as compared with neutral, pictures are viewed, suggesting facilitated perception. In the present study, we explored how picture composition and the presence of people in the image affect perceptual processing of pictures of natural scenes. Using RSVP, pictures that differed in perceptual composition (figure–ground or scenes), content (presence of people or not), and emotional content (emotionally arousing or neutral) were presented in a continuous stream for 330 ms each with no intertrial interval. In both subject and picture analyses, all three variables affected the amplitude of occipital negativity, with the greatest enhancement for figure–ground compositions (as compared with scenes), irrespective of content and emotional arousal, supporting an interpretation that ease of perceptual processing is associated with enhanced occipital negativity. Viewing emotional pictures prompted enhanced negativity only for pictures that depicted people, suggesting that specific features of emotionally arousing images are associated with facilitated perceptual processing, rather than all emotional content.  相似文献
