The operation of the Psychological Sciences Division of the Office of Naval Research is described briefly. Guidance is provided for prospective proposers of research to that division.

Pitfalls of Ability Research

Ability research in psychology can be fraught with pitfalls that lead to inappropriate conclusions. We identify several issues that lead to potential misinterpretation of results and suggest corrective solutions. These issues include lack of construct validity of the measures, misinterpretation of correlations and regression weights, lack of statistical power, failure to estimate cross‐validation effects, and misinterpretation of factor analytic results.     

士气内涵及其研究概述

文章先概括了士气的内涵,进而从组织认同、工作质量、团体凝聚力三个士气的维度来分别介绍士气的测量,接着探讨了士气的作用及其机制,重点介绍了Labuc提出的影响战斗力因素的模型和Johnsrud等人提出的士气和离职意图的多水平模型,最后总结当前士气研究的问题,提出士气未来的研究方向     

The Adventure of Research

In recent years, a number of studies corroborate the importance of an integrated or interdisciplinary curriculum for an effective education. However, contemporary proposals for the function of theology as the integrative center have been limited mainly to sectarian communities and remain a work in progress. Noting the fruitfulness of historical and worldview surveys of the relationship between theology and education in the works of Holmes, Knight, and Blamires, this essay is an attempt to contribute to these approaches by demonstrating how current research in biblical and patristic studies can contribute models for the integration of curricula and provide a more effective Christian education. Included are analyses of the counter-imperial thesis for Paul's theology and how it breaks down walls between Bible, Literature, History, and Government classes, the emergence of a distinctly Christian paideia and its contribution to the formation of Christian character, and the concept of cosmological axioms entailed in sacred discourse which provide a comprehensive interdisciplinary application of the lordship of Christ. Observations on the implications of such models for Christian education are then drawn from the data.     

迷信心理研究述评

迷信在西方心理学界一直是一个比较热门的研究课题,而国内心理研究者对这方面的研究还没有给予足够的重视。文章从迷信的定义、理论以及影响因素三个方面对迷信心理研究做了阐述,并总结了目前迷信心理研究的不足：首先,到目前为止迷信的定义还没有得到统一。其次,迷信心理理论研究还有待进一步完善。再次,对迷信心理的影响因素研究结果存在较大的争论,迷信心理测量工具的信效度以及文化适用性有待进一步检验。迷信心理研究今后应在迷信内涵、测量工具以及实证研究方面进行深入探索     

关于午睡研究的概述

适当的午睡可以缓解我们午后的疲劳感,提高午后心境状态、觉醒状态;对于进行了正常夜眠的个体而言,习惯性午睡行为并不是对夜眠不足的补偿;短时午睡对恢复正常体个体身心状态有着积极的效果;然而,越来越多的研究也发现,午睡对记忆也有一定的整合作用。午睡中慢波睡眠对陈述性记忆的整合起着重要作用,此外,二期睡眠纺锤波对陈述性记忆及程序性记忆的整合也起着一定的作用。利用午睡探讨睡眠对记忆的整合作用及机制,可能是未来研究的方向     

临床医学科研人才培养的实践范式研究

从2000年开始,中国医科大学附属盛京医院积极探索临床科研人才培养的规律与途径.从获奖科研成果级别与数量、获奖成果的学科(专业)分布及获奖成果第一完成人的年龄结构等三个方面,对中国医科大学附属盛京医院1994年～2007年的179项获奖科研成果进行研究与分析,总结临床医学科研人才培养的实践模式.

Hedonomics: Bridging Decision Research With Happiness Research

ABSTRACT— One way to increase happiness is to increase the objective levels of external outcomes; another is to improve the presentation and choices among external outcomes without increasing their objective levels. Economists focus on the first method. We advocate the second, which we call hedonomics . Hedonomics studies (a) relationships between presentations (how a given set of outcomes are arranged among themselves or relative to other outcomes) and happiness and (b) relationships between choice (which option among alternative options one chooses) and happiness.
