Abstract: | Tabulations of letter and letter-combination versatility and frequency were made based on the Kucera and Francis (1967) word frequency count. Letter versatility, a new descriptive statistic, was defined as the number of different words in which a letter appears. These tabulations may be useful in the investigation of visual information processing, reading skills, and human memory. |
