| Abstract: | A well-ordered simple icosahedral quasicrystalline phase has been found in the Zn-Mg-Er system. The structure of a splat-cooled and annealed sample was investigated by electron and X-ray powder diffraction. A quasilattice constant of 0.513nm was determined by the Elser method. |
