Abstract: | The primary goal of this study was to investigate the relations between the perceived quality of the relationship with father and instrumentality and expressiveness among offspring. Participants were 43 male and 43 female, single, college students, between the ages of 17 and 21. They responded to two measures of relationship quality and the Bem Sex Role Inventory. Results show that a close relationship with father was related to greater instrumentality in daughters. |
