"Cindy Lustig has made groundbreaking contributions to the study of attention and memory. She has contributed to our understanding of the role of interference in implicit memory and of the neural underpinnings of age differences in cognition as well as to a developing literature on effective interventions to boost cognitive functioning. Her methods include a genetic approach to understanding variability in cognitive functioning in old age as well as the use of animal models.
