The Ethical Issues Raised by Behavioural Genetics in Humans

Behavioural genetics is an attempt to locate specific genes or groups of genes associated with behavioural traits and to understand the complex relationship between genes and the environment.Behavioural genetics deals with non-pathological variance within the Norman range,it is distinct from genetics of human disease.There are many ethical problems in behavioural genetic research,such as ,heritability of intelligence,whether the gene decides everything,sociobiology and human cultural values,and relationship between bioethics and behavioural genetics,etc.Therefore,the interpretation of the result of behavioural genetic research must be over-cautious.
