Antiviral Treatment about Chronic Hepatitis B With Pregnancy

Mother-- to-- child transmission（MTCT） is the main transmission route of hepatitis B virus（HBV） in China. Administration of standard passive--active immune-prophylaxis with the hepatitis B immunoglobutin（HBIg） and the hepatitis B vaccine to all newborns is obviously effective to prevent MTCT. However, high maternal HBV DNA level may increases fetus the risk of HBV infection intrauterine. Therefore, antiviral treatment in gestation period is important. For chronic hepatitis B patients of reproductive age who are planning to be pregnant, antiviral treatment should be completed as far as possible before pregnant. For patients who become pregnant while on antiviral treatment, discontinuation of antiviral treat- ment or continue continuation of lamivudine （ LAM ）, telbivudine （ LdT ）, tenofovir （TDF） depends on the severity of the mother＇s liver disease. Recently, there are many clinical trials about antiviral treatment using LAM, LdT or TDF during the third trimester on high viremia HBV carrier women. However, its efficacy and safety is still controversial.
