Cognitive ability and communicative disability

The area of cognitive ability and communicative disability is introduced and delineated in this special issue of Scandinavian Journal of Psychology. A set of 13 chapters is included in the issue to illustrate the theoretical and methodological advances in the areas of memory and amnesia, reading and dyslexia, speech-reading, tactile speech and objects, and developmental disorders. Theoretical communalities among the different subspecialities are emphasized.
